Alot of my family have off road vechiles and go around tassie to some of the really beautiful spots, not long ago I went to glass wine bay and red cliff beach i think its called, 2 hour walk to get there and the scenery while
@LordOftheMind even walking there is just spectacular. theres like feilds of wild red long grass kind of stuff that goes on for miles with just one path through it all to the beach at the end, its one of the cleanest places on earth aswell, and theres almost no city heaps and heaps of trees.
i think what you wanted would be pretty amazing but i dont know anything bad about new zealand cause i havent been but some of my relatives are from there, what did you plan to do in NZ?

@RemixTheUniverse New Zealand, I want to kayak in the southern island where all the beautiful moutains are, where lord of the rings was filmed i think, hike the region, do some horse riding and photography..I usually plan things ahead bc every 'wild live/scenery trip' runs about $5000 including plane tickets and hotel, and I'm only 24 college/working so these kind of trips to distant places are most unique and spontaneous, later in life i want to travel first class lol

But from every where ive visited in Tasmania its pretty spectacular, ive never travelled out of australia just to places like queensland and melbourne and perth so i cant really say much and i was being a bit stubborn since i dont know what its like else where. you should come to both in your lifetime tho

I studied abroad in Oz way back in 03...ended up ditching most of my studies and picking apples in Tassie for a while. I lived out of my van, drove all over the island, met a really cool fella named Grant that bought a house in Queenstown for like 10K! as a homebase. Hobart was nice, the whole place was great. Lucky to have seen it, would go back given half the chance. Thanks!

dude i was born in melbourne and lived there for many years and also in sydney and goldcoast and there is way more inbreds there then in tassie... and have you ever been to tassie last year it got rated the number one tourist destination in the world theres heaps to see and do and its not as small as you think its home to over 500,000 people

great photos you got,I lived around the SandyBay area closer 2 Hobart. there are some very nice places up the east coast of Tassie, Swansea, Orford, Bishino they are all worth a look. its hard to tell people where they should go, the state is just beautiful. it looks like you got all the main tourist stuff in your vid, the East Coast is very nice. and WINE GLASS BAY IS A MUST SEE!!!(near coles bay somwhere) camping on the gold coast seems like shit after growing up in Tassie
The wife was ill on the day we were ment to goto Wineglass Bay so we didnt do the walk. The light house in these is near there. You can sort of see the bay from there.
I know all of those places. I went there at the end of 2005, and they are etched into my memory. It was so amazing. The train ride was a bit of a rip off though. My mum said to the lady "uh.... we want a ride ON the train.. We don't want to buy the WHOLE TRAIN?".
I noticed as soon as we stepped off the plane at Hobart. It was so bloody clean. I dont live in a city, i live on the Darling Downs and I thought our air was good.
When it first opened up, very many of the locals could not afford to go on it.You have no idea how galling it is not to be able to take that ride-all my Mum's family remember taking when it was originally operational. A ride through such natural beauty that you (and I) just can't imagine.I should know!!It's my home.I've walked half of it, that was awesome. Now, I live in the Northern Territory and lovin' it but I did get a little homesick. Thank-you for letting me see it again.

great photos you got,I lived around the SandyBay area closer 2 Hobart. there are some very nice places up the east coast of Tassie, Swansea, Orford, Bishino they are all worth a look. its hard to tell people where they should go, the state is just beautiful. it looks like you got all the main tourist stuff in your vid, the East Coast is very nice. and WINE GLASS BAY IS A MUST SEE!!!(near coles bay somwhere) camping on the gold coast seems like shit after growing up in Tassie

The wife was ill on the day we were ment to goto Wineglass Bay so we didnt do the walk. The light house in these is near there. You can sort of see the bay from there.

I know all of those places. I went there at the end of 2005, and they are etched into my memory. It was so amazing. The train ride was a bit of a rip off though. My mum said to the lady "uh.... we want a ride ON the train.. We don't want to buy the WHOLE TRAIN?".

The Wilderness Railway I do beleive you are talking about.
We wanted to go on that and it was $99 ONE WAY! So me and the wife said when we go back in 2009 we may think about it. It is meant to be a nice ride.
Tassy is a very uniquie place, friendly people and also if you are a tourist they are more than happy to help...unlike some main land places.

I noticed as soon as we stepped off the plane at Hobart. It was so bloody clean. I dont live in a city, i live on the Darling Downs and I thought our air was good.

When it first opened up, very many of the locals could not afford to go on it.You have no idea how galling it is not to be able to take that ride-all my Mum's family remember taking when it was originally operational. A ride through such natural beauty that you (and I) just can't imagine.I should know!!It's my home.I've walked half of it, that was awesome. Now, I live in the Northern Territory and lovin' it but I did get a little homesick. Thank-you for letting me see it again.

A Fuji Finpix 5600. I left my good camera at Home.
The fuji is a great camera, bit like an SLR but easy to use and not as bulky.
I have to dust of my good camera this weekend and go for a wander.
