  • I just poured 10 teaspoons which is almost half a cup. After I did 150ml and its completely black in which I expected... Though, I did this because it tasted terrible before, so now it taste okay... But dammmn do I feel like I might die, I feel extremely hyper! Am I killing myself? I probably am, in which case this will be my last attempt. I just need focus on my work and I don't have milk, or marijane.

  • Great respect to someone who uses a coffee grinder...

  • I realize every time I use french press, there will have some coffee power leak out. it that normal? if not how to solve it?

  • @alen921006 That has been my experience too. Maybe a viewer will offer a solution.

  • @microdac You grind it too fine, in a french press the coffee should be corse like kosher salt

  • @geurgeury Thank you for your input. I will leave your comment for everyone to see. Thanks again.

  • If you dont know how to make coffee, then youve got problems

  • i start my day with heated coca cola yum

  • @The5starSTUNNNA Thats disgusting

  • is this expresso?

  • Coffee presses are the best! If you put salt in your coffee, I suggest using an all-natural sea salt. Not just in your coffee but for everyday cooking as well.

  • @TheZipster09 Tell me more about natural salt and the advantages of using natural sea salt.

  • @microdac all natural sea salt doesnt have all the extra unhealthy additives that refined table salt has, such as anti-caking agents. you also get much needed trace minerals from all-natural sea salt. you should look into it.

  • @TheZipster09 I think hes probably got better things to do in his time lol

  • You're voice is so relaxing to listen to!

  • @baobabmiciomicio Thanks I will try and find a Moka Pot; anything for a good cup of coffee.

  • @microdac

if you find it and need suggestions, just drop me a line ;)

  • @baobabmiciomicio Thanks very much. I found one that is made by a company called Illy. I'll get a moka pot and tell you all about using it. Thanks again.

  • Please dont molest me.

  • I didn't know Mr Rogers was black. Good video!

  • all we need is coffee beans .. coffee grinder... french press...hot water...and thyme

  • @retrotw 'Thyme'? Did I really say that? Just goes to show you that I am normal (not perfect) in spite of what I suggest about the coffee. Thanks for your comments.

  • @microdac no...u said it perfectly...its just i was reading the comments below and i thought u said thyme meaning the herb rather than time...then i realized i was stupid...btw great job and you got a great voice for endorsing anything!! my previous comment weren't meant to be disrespectful if i offend you or anyone i do apologize LOL...but yea...good coffee goes a long way right!??

  • @microdac lol going on what he said before that part, he may have said TIME lol

  • @retrotw he said 'time' .. not 'thyme' .. what is this french press for..??

  • This guy is on Valium .......

  • HEY COFFEE BREWING FANS, welcome to my discussion with a race baiting monkey who attacked me at a different video thread! Since his name is @meanbrew, I thought I'd bring the fight HERE, among all of you MEAN coffee BREWERS, for y'all to enjoy!

  • good video, but don't you add sugar ?

  • @zklfs94 The adding of sugar has always been a matter of personal taste. As an ex-sailor, many of my shipmates would simply not bother with sugar... but then they drank a lot of coffee during the watch.

  • i can almost taste it 0_o?!

  • You could sell me anything.

  • Fuck off and drink tea, it's nicer.

  • OMG we have that spoon!! :P

  • 2:43 and « voilà », nice accent!

something I don't understand is, the 'french press' isn't invented by a french but by an italian.

Moreover in french we call the 'french press' 'cafetière à piston' translate to 'coffe press'.

  • anyone else falling a sleep dude you need to make me a tape to sleep

  • You're good man lol

  • thanks to your video i ordered a french press and a baratza maestro coffee grinder. cant wait til they get here so i can have my not so instant coffee :)

    thanks.

  • Did anyone notice 9:11 at the end of this video?

  • @alextorres1993 So that we will never forget. Thanks for noticing.

  • you tease!

  • If you wanna make your coffee twice as good, try changing the grinding method. Like instead of holding the button down for 15 seconds, try pulsing the grinder. Less friction will result in better tasting beans. Now if you want to even make it 100 times better than that, invest in a hand cranked burr mill grinder. You brew will be way better than the one in your video, and yes it does make all that much difference.

  • @Elmware Thanks. I am very receptive to all good information. Thanks for sharing.

  • haha he takes making coffee so serious

  • Great Video! I like the way the coffee ended up.

  • I always make coffee acording yiur recepie. Thanks.

  • we have same mugs ;)

  • What is the make and model of the French Press?

  • Good tip on the salt. I have watched several of these tutorials you are the first offer up that bit of advice. Dégustez votre café !

  • Would the salt thing work with a drip coffe maker...?

  • @hunterziegelmann I think so.

  • @hunterziegelmann It was a no-name french press that I picked up at a consignment store. I see them there all the time.

  • I Like your Video ,, Clear, smooth and proffesional Voice !

made me crave for a cup of coffee man

    (y)

  • Oh my god!! Man.. Your video relax me. And make me crave a coffee.. Greetings from other planet :)

  • Emphasising the word "perfect" and speaking slowly won't make it sound any more enticing than instant coffee itself.

  • it sounds like you need some coffee !! ....

  • Goddamn! This is some serious gourmet shit! :D

  • What ever happened to the good ole 12 cup drip pot coffee maker or hell even a percolator by the way salt neutralizes the acidic acids in the coffee, French press hah

  • Good effort, but milk should be heated....

  • Checkout my page!!!Checkout my page!!!

  • How To Make Coffee - Get a coffee machine.

    Now wasn't that easy?

  • Man you could be a narrator for a discovery show or something.

  • You're like the Bob Ross of coffee!

  • "Dont drink that racist coffee" LOL

  • coffee suppose to make you feel energize, but his voice is soo smooth and relax i wanna sleep

  • Instant coffee 'burns' if you add boiling water directly to it and tastes bitter. Add your milk/cream before you add the boiling water for a smoother, less bitter taste.

  • nice video

  • How long to time your coffee... Beans!

  • you have a comercial voice

  • Godamnit, your voice want's to make me go to sleep!!!!! Time to make that coffee :)

  • @microdac Thank you! I use this method and it works well to me :)

  • Hey, why not go to Wal Mart and buy a cheap timer? Set up the coffeemachine before you go to bed and set the timer to the right time, and you will have a cup of coffee ready when you wake up. :)

  • @Birdbayboy Why not? That is creative!

  • @Birdbayboy there is a funny southpark episode wher is wal mart youst watch fucking funny

  • @Container150 I think I've seen it :P all South Park episodes are fucking funny :)

  • 15 people need to buy made coffee at a store.

  • As much as I like French Pressed Coffee, there is something innately creepy about this video.

  • Tnks alot

  • Great --- EXCEPT-- I would recommend stirring before steeping. I find that chopsticks work best.

  • he kinda sounds like a crazy person LOL

  • "You guessed it.. Instant.. Coffee.." NOOOEZ!!!1one!!eleven! Teh horror!

  • o wow u sound white for a while there

  • believe it or not coffee is invented by Muslim Saints and they introduce it in Europe even at that time all religious christian people band it.making a excuse that they want preach Islam through it and even they called it Muslim drink.

  • I now feel very sophisticated.

  • 15 seconds is too long for a grind, the grains will be too small resulting in overly bitter coffee! :)

  • ...sounds like Kevin Spacey.

  • I find this video informative, simple, effective & extremely elegant. The voice, music & ambiance almost transports me to another world.

Thank you for this lovely piece of work

  • SALT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    REALLY uuggh!!!

  • This guy must be baked as hell

  • Loved your instructional video. Kinda sexy, but then again, drinking a great cup of coffee in the morning 'turns me on" in the morning!

  • @evagall There are only a few things better than a cup of coffee in the morning. Thanks for the compliment. :)

  • we mexicans dont do it like that we put water on the microwave 3 mins add the coffe add milk and sugar and baam tasty as fuck lol.........but nice vid

  • @XDARKEFFECTX The result is an excellent cup of coffee and that is the real point. Right? Thanks.

  • An enjoyable video, thanks! This is how I always make my coffee =)

  • salt??? really??

  • this guys a badass

  • Watching this brought a smile to my face :D. Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • thanks,i thought the quality was great.good job ;)

  • it's not called a french press it's called a CAFFITERE also his voise is sooooo anoying -- sorry to bitch in your comments section -- =)

  • what kind of micro phone do u use for this video?thanks

  • @Bluewolf2028 . It was a $19.95 Radio Shack Headphone/Microphone combination. Model # 33-1187. Thanks for reminding me that I need to go and buy 2 more (as spares). This is the headphone/Microphone combo that I use for all my narrations. Radio Shack should pay me. :)

  • When you're using a french press, you don't grind the coffee beans according to your taste--they should be coarsely ground (the guy in this video does it way too finely, resulting in overly steeped, bitter coffee). Notices that he adds salt to balance out the bitterness, but well-brewed coffee out of a press should be perfect.

  • @jktsang Thank you for that information. That is why I like making videos. I am rarely correct, but the viewers correct my errors. Thanks again for your valuable input.

  • @microdac finnaly someone who dousn't reply to a correction with a paragraph of swearing thank you

  • @jktsang I think everyone has their own preference :). For example, I like my coffee stronger, and very much enjoy bitterness. To each their own.

  • I find tons of French Press pots at Goodwill and Salvation Army. I even found an early 1960's "Insta Brewer" made in my home town of Boonton, NJ! Weird.

  • i really enjoyed this video, informative and enjoyable. I could listen to his voice all day, lol. Its very relaxing! :)

  • i really enjoyed this video, informative and enjoyable. I could listen to his voice all day, lol. Its very relaxing! :)

  • Thanks it helped

  • I've been told this is not a good way to make coffee as the toxins come out and we drink them. the best way is with a steamer and filter.

  • The music and his voice/speaking manner... sounds like Mr. Rogers getting ready to molest me

  • ish... instant coffee is terrible. unless your in the wilderness..

  • dam i gotta make one now!

  • Thanks, I really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to making myself a cup in the morning :)

  • What kind of coffee beans would you recommend?

  • That is an excellent question! Not being an expert, I can only tell you what I like: Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans. Hopefully, a viewer will comment on the best coffee beans.

  • @microdac Does anyone know what beans the Swedish company Gevalia blends for theirs? I've tried a cup in Switzerland once and it blew me away.

  • @starlionblue I think that company gets most of its coffee from Ethiopia.

  • @fel91jen Eight 'O Clock whole coffee beans are inexpensive and very fresh and good. I also wouldn't add salt. Not necessary for a good rich cup of coffee made with whole beans.

  • Thanks for a good video. I have a French Press which I seldom use because I know how to make a PERFECT cup of instant coffee. As you mentioned, the secret is the salt.

  • @CyberGranny1 ... You got it my friend! Thanks for watching.

  • i like beatin my wife and sittin down to a cold bud ah lifes great

  • your voice is so soothing!

  • @jacobyks Haha, indeed!

  • You can get French press almost everywhere and yes it is a great way to make good coffee without expensive equipment, you can easily get started for 50-100 USD

  • i love coffee but i never heard of a french press :/ where can i get one ????? please reply

  • Go to my web site and then click on the link "microdac private store" and then search for 'coffee press'. There are many, many different models.

  • instant coffee tastes like shit.

  • Can a paper filter possibly be used over the press?

  • Very good question. I hope someone will offer a suggestion about using paper filters. Thanks for watching.

  • just a caution. since this method of coffee making doesn't use "filter paper", substances that raises the blood pressure are NOT eliminated. using the drip method will do the job, mainly bec the toxic substances (Blood pressure elevating substances) will not cross over the filter paper.

  • Thank you very much for sharing that information. I want people's input and your advice is exactly what I want to share with others. Thanks again.

  • Substance that raises blood pressure are not eliminated EVEN with the filter paper. So it makes no difference whether using a french press or a regular filter coffee maker. The controversial part is that using a french press won't get rid of the "essential oil" from the coffee beans. This substances may cause increment of cholesterol in human body.

  • Yes I agree. But cafestol (the oil) CAN INDIRECTLY elevate the blood pressure by raising the LDL levels and thereby increase the peripheral vascular resistance. Fortunately the use of filter paper traps most of the cafestol and thereby lessen or even eliminate coffee cafestol. You have to mind that an elevated LDL in as short as 2 weeks would create various biological changes in our cardiovascular systems, in which one of the effects is an elevated BP.

  • I see. It sounds a little bit complicated but thanks for the kindly reminder.

  • Most People Put Waaay Toooo Much Coffee And They Make It Pitch Black, I Don't Know How People can Drink That! Since I Was Little I Always Put Less Than 1 Spoon Of Coffee And That's It, Then I'd Fill 1 Cup Half With Hot Water And Then Fill The Rest With Milk (weird) Then I Put 3-4 Spoons Of Sugar, Mix And Drink. I Guess I Like It That Way cause My mom Made Her's Like That. I Once Tried Pitch Black Coffee And I Spit It Right Out!

  • I don't think that is weird at all. Coffee is to be enjoyed by the drinker; that is, exactly as the person drinking the coffee likes the coffee.

  • You Have A Point :)

  • Down here in the south we call that sweet coffee, nothing wrong with it at all, I actually prefer stronger tasting coffee, but again it comes down to your own desires. Cant belive you got negative ratings on that comment. I gave it a thumbs up

  • Dude, you have like best narrator voice ever. also bit reminding me of Enrique Castillo

  • Yes I agree very nice presentation!

  • This guy should be a narrator, or make audiobooks.

  • Amazing tutorial.. I bought my one today... I guess to use it as soon as I finish my travel.... thank you much!! I hope you taste with some Brazilian coffee as well...;) see yaa

  • microdac, since your using a cheapy coffee grinder, to avoid heating the beans too much, I'd suggest grinding your coffee beans in `pulses'

  • That is an excellent idea. Grinding in pulses is the way to go. Thanks for your great observation.

  • my perfect coffee is boiling water, 2 tea spoons of coffee grinds in a french press, press then pour in to a cup add sugar, salt, syrup and milk and voilà hmm great sweet café coffee!

  • I think this guy was trying to pick up women by speaking like that and using a 'french' press!

  • Thanks. I believe that this is the best way to make a single cup of coffee, plus, you can adjust to your own personal taste via volume (amount of ground coffee) and time soaking. Be sure to visit my other videos. Thanks again.

  • Thanks. I'm going to buy a french press. I love the voice on this video, too.

  • Mr. Rogers

  • Mr Rogers? Really? I love Mr Rogers. Thanks for the compliment!

  • *dry voice *"In time you will have the PERFECT cup of coffee"

His voice reminds me of my middle school science teacher.

  • looooooooool camera panasonic

  • This voice reminds me of Indiana Jones!:D

  • Use a filter it collects harmful oils. No creamer thats healthier. Cream or milk

  • I must say I really enjoyed that video but if that mans voice was anymore boring I would have required several coffees!!

  • This guys voice kicks ass.

Hahahaha. I can watch this over and over.

    HA HA HA

  • 5 stars, looks good tooo

  • It looks like you used about 2 tablespoons of coffee. You should mention how much water you used. What size is the french press you have?

  • Great video. I'm going to check out all your vids now. Thank you.

  • very well done! i have a coffee press lying on cupboard for years & really had no idea how to use it until this video thanks

  • This is the best video, because of your POV. Thanks~

  • the only way to start the day.
