The U.S. entered Vietnam on the basis of lies; American politicians, seeing the world as either black or white, couldn't differentiate Communism from "Wars of National Liberation". It was the American soldier who paid for this mistake and the millions who died from this horrible war. Lee knew this but had to walk the fine line between his friends in the West (U.S., Britain) and his Asian neighbors (China, Vietnam, Malaysia etc.)...making sure never to offend either.
His predictions and evaluations are freakishly and incredibly accurate. The last bit when the reporters lit up cigarettes in the studio and on air was quite shocking to kids like me LOL.
this was a little disappointing, he dodged all the questions apart from 2 out of like 10. i expected much better from LKY in his prime.
