I read a lot of comments like "she makes classical music more available for youth" etc, and if that's the thought behind this I'd say well that's a good thought, but this arrangement simply isn't very well done.I don't feel I'm in a position to say anything about her playing, I think she plays very well in fact, but the arrangement, the electricviolin and the stupid band destroys everything. So no, it isn't snobbery at all to concider this as shit.

@blikeng True, but you do not provide any real reasons for the fact that you consider it "shit", besides the fact that it is a different take on a wonderful piece of music. I find this version refreshing, both because of her skillful rendition and because she does not feel herself bound by traditions or rules that can only stifle creativity. Blind reverance to ancient composers are the main reason why I feel that classical music has stagnated.

@Sammathnar I get your point.For me, this arrangement simply doesnt make it. Its so simplified and I dont understand why they have to do that. There is so much they have left out.Thats to underestimate peoples ears.Its great that they try to do something new about old music,but the thought itself doesnt make a good product. I do also think there's a time to break rules, and a time to follow them,but that doesnt mean you have to pick 100% of either. Btw to call J.S.Bach ancient is a bit harsh ;)
