took me one day to find my first coin ever ever and it was'nt even real need help finding places in charlotte MI to coin shoot please reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ann go out and buy a metal detector that has atleast manual ground balance built into it so you can reject the ground signals because that the biggest thing you will ever detect
I have bought some new gloves. :) I wore holes through my gardening ones, LOL. I just need to find the time to get out. There are some old homesteads in the national forest near us that I really want to get to.
Replying to my own video, but I wanted all to know that I figured out why the video was so grainy (bad lighting and using "light boost" setting. So future videos will be much better quality! :)
Ann-I have used the ACE250 for a year now got a lot of help from a site called "The Treasure Depot" they have a Garrett Forum. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself They ask for a "Short user profile" your will NOT get spam-They also have Relic-Beach-Lake-Forum Etc. P.S.
every body there has their idea of how to "Dirt Fish"
but they are wrong and I'm ALWAYS (wink-wink) right :)
LOL! Thanks so much for the website tip. I will check that out. Something to keep me going while the ground is frozen. :( I also ordered two book by Garrett from Barnes and Noble that will be coming in the next week or so to study tips so that once I CAN search I make be more successful. :)
Didn't post yet, I worked quite a bit this weekend and I haven't dug anything interesting because of this frozen hard ground! Got three pulltabs, a nameless piece of metal, bottoms of cans and a melted piece of can (went to a beach were fishermen often have campfires).
Oh you are making me jealous! :) I KNOW I can do better than I have if the ground didn't require me to chisel through it! I am looking at about 3-4 months wait!

Good luck in searching.
My detector paid for itself 5 times over,
alot of stories in this hobby, and it is actually history we are searching for , events of lost items

took my 250 out today found 36 clad coins and 2 silver ones--1934 quarter & 1964 dime.
as you can see I am a coinshooter( hunt for old coins)
but will take anything of interest--found a 1933 Ford V-8 add token last week & my friend got a ring and 1956 dog tag.
