This is unbelievable! When I read Ave Maria I thought he was gonna play the melody. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard him play arpeggios continuously for like 2 and a half minutes o.0. What a monster!
I want his clarinet...so bad. the Bb and A. i love their sound. along with the Basset joint for the A. and for some reason i want to have a basset joint made for the Bb as well. that way if i forget my A and i have my basset joint. I can just transpose in my head because i can hit the low notes
@caiogflopes Can you see how sometimes his cheeks are puffed up? Basically when he takes a breath, he stores air inside his cheeks and when he has to take a breath again, he breaths through his nose and pushes the air in his cheeks into the instrument at the same time and without stopping. Yeah, it's really hard to stay in tune when you do that. He's really amazing.
Who is watchin' this video must say that: It's a so emotional and wonderful song. I think I'll play that with a horn in F and a flute. We can't forget about the excellent Frost's performance.
I play the clarinet myself, and I heard about circular breathing as late as yesterday when I talked about Martin Fröst with some colleagues of mine. How does he do it! He really is a master of the clarinet!
He's amazing! His ton! his emotion! his fingers! his circular breathing! it's all amazing! he and Benny Goodman are my top 2 favorite clarinetists ever! they always play with their own personality through their instrument and they do it so effortlessly! something i'm learning and improving on. it takes someone wit the know how, money, and brain to know what he knows and do what he does.... prodigy to the max!
I'm glad that there's still a clarinet "superstar" in the world today. A fine musician - but a truly astounding instrumentalist. Certainly in the top 3 clarinet players alive, if not THE best.
but if you can circular breath you can make more beautiful music. this pice wouldn´t be that good if martin would breathe al the time. but of course the music is the most important =)
that's incredible! I'm a clarinet player, and I can't even circular breath!

I really dont get how circular breathing works!
nadja1316 3 years ago
its really not that hard , the higher the notes , the more difficult it gets to CB ,
lift your tong untill you can press the air out of your mouth puff up your cheeks without getting air into your lungs, wilst breathing in
slipknotmetal66666 3 years ago
So when do you actually get to inhale?
rnbldsrnmsvlbl 2 years ago
while you puf out the air in your mouth you can breath in ...
try it with e straw and some water ..
