  • Let the Saskatchewan jokes... BEGIN!

If you look in the horizon close enough, you can see the back of your head.

  • This is possibly the greatest show ever made, it's SOO well written, and I'm glad they stopped at the top of their game, *cough* Simpsons *cough*I hope they do a reunion show sometime.

  • i love this show, it reminds me of my canada! i love it so much there. actually, where the show is filmed is only a little away from my grandparents house. when they say "the city" i know what there talking about. i used to live in the tiny town of fort qu'appelle. there, my gramma and dad work at a hotel. im crying...

  • my dad met Oscar... he wrote me a note! it says hes a jackass. it was very exciting

  • What the hell!

  • Absolutely love this show. It's well written, funny and perfectly cast.

  • its funny how the natives are the cop and bartender, cuz thats how it is

  • Just love it! I've watched this scene about 50 times and I am still amused.

I am from Manitoba so I know all about "Nothin' to block yer view."

    It's the best!

  • People say that this is the best canadian comedy ever. I say it's better than that. 1 of the best comedys period.

  • That's F*cking Hilarious, I've been to Saskatchewan many times, and it is literally that flat.

  • 18 people lost their F n' E.

  • it was a great show

  • I travel to Saskatchewan, this show provided a glimpse of someting so great about rural people and the fun and humour in small towns. What they caught on film is something that will be treasured for sometime. Corner Gas makes you feel

good ! This was a great opening scene !

  • this is my fav scene hands donw!!!

  • @Theoppsopps11 Actually its a very witty show, has a lot of clever sarcasm, it also has a great atmosphere about it. Great show!

  • @Theoppsopps11 Congrats on instant punting from YT for hating Corner Gas, silly...

  • My dad is American and he loves this show hehe.

  • @Theoppsopps11 Wow, if yer in school for yer Masters degree, you are quite immature for a college student.

  • this scene basically sums up the whole show xD

  • BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Theoppsopps11 That's not very nice...

  • @Theoppsopps11 Learn proper English before you slam other's intelligence.

  • Man I miss this show!

  • I drive by it to go into Regina.... its sad to see everything boarded up D:

  • Funny thing about episode 1, was it was shot after episode 5 I believe. Brent wanted the characters to seem more close and connected for the first episode.

  • @rko252 I completely disagree.

  • I was also lucky enough to drive by on a day they were filming. Security didnt let us near the set, but one security guard had found a script on the ground and let us keep it. I got to read the mothers day episode months before it was on TV

  • "there's lot's to see nothing to block your view."

-the wisest thing hank has, and will ever say.

  • Great show, loving it the more I watch it.

  • This show makes me proud to be Canadian! =)

  • this show was awesome!

  • The town`s real name is Rouleau. The set hasn`t been taken care of, heard that the town doesn`t think it is worth the money to keep the buildings up to par.

  • Actually the first ever shot scene was in episode 2 when oscar was reaching into the closet looking for the papers to give to a tax guy. but like 20 people probably already said that.

  • Thanks for posting :) it's a family-favorite in our home (in New Orleans, no less)

  • i live 5 minuets away from that gas station. was there today infact. the gas station looks fake now, they had to otherwise people would steal things. prettty cool though.

  • my goal in life is to be married like oscar and emma.

  • i visited gog river last summer. it was cool to see all the buildings in real life. emma's house is actually in use as a real house

  • @spitfireace7 there is no dog river adn they arent even a married couple so ya, but there is a town like this and there is a gas bar called corner gas but teh town is definitly not called dog river so dont lie

  • @crazyghilliekid congradulations. you cant wrap your head around the fact that I could have gone to Rouleau saskatchewan, nor the fact we drove on a gravel road to get there, or the fact that i was on a cross-canada trip and happened to stop at a real town in a real provence with my real familly and saw the real location of corner gas.

  • @spitfireace7 Ive been to Rouleau as well when I drove past on a roadtrip. They do have all the buildings from the show but actually the only scenes shot in Roleau are outside or inside Corner Gas. Every scene inside the ruby and other indoor locations say emmas house, is shot at a set in Regina. But they do film the outside the houses in Rouleau. The police station in an ice cream and souveneir shop inside, I bought a key chain, it is nothing like the inside they use on the show.

  • @colepaladeau Yeah, they show how the woman who runs the place started out and everything and the actress for Lacey visited her on one of the DVD's.

  • lol fuckin hilarious. It's too bad that's the best this show ever produced.

  • I'm American and am all things American and I love the show. I think it's great. It's one of my favorite shows. Anything with sarcasm. You guys are american, too, you just still like the while Europe thing. Of course, I haven't had cable for almost three years and just found out the show isn't on anymore. One thing is for sure, I'm buying all the seasons.

  • so funny!!!!

  • Great show

and Brent Butt is even funnier in stand-up... saw him earlier this year. HILARIOUS.

  • R there alot of americans tht watch tht show

  • This show is a classic!

  • "There's lots to see... Nothing to block your view."

That will probably be the greatest TV quote ever.

  • @MrGoostoff

    you grandiose mafucka

  • im from SK guess what its blt (Brent leroy time)

  • Oh Brent <3333 Easily one of the best Canadian shows~ Too bad they ended it :(

  • miss this show :( i wish they would make new episodes

  • I didn't like it, i was just curious to see how long it lasted.

  • One of the best shows of all time. They say there isn't anything good to watch anymore. This one competes with any show ever. Every character, even Oscar and Emma is likable and reminds you of someone you know. They (Oscar and Emma) want to act all tough but they both have a heart of gold. Wish shows like this one would never end. Makes me want to move to Dog River.

  • Love it all. never did get to see Karen and lacey naked in bed together.

  • @morgan2008nz tragic really....

  • Great way to have started the show! Corner gas was AWESOME from start to beginning, virtually EVERY SINGLE episode!!!

  • THIS ISNT THE FIRST SCENE! :p

The first one is when Oscar is looking for his taxes and Emma mentions that she threw away his garfield books :)

  • @maxy4321 This is season 1, episode 1, scene 1. How can the Oscar/Emma scene be the first scene?

  • @janX9 Lol this is the first scene to be played cause that's how they started off the show. But the first scene ever to be shot and recorded was the one with Emma and Oscar. watch the commentary on Season 1... Tax Man. You'll hear them talk about it. I dont know why their first scene shot was in episode 2.

  • @maxy4321 Ahh. I understand. Thanks for explaining.

They probably shot that episode when they did, because of Kevin McDonald's roll. I assume they had to shoot that episode whenever he was available.

Besides many TV shows have several episodes complete before they even air the first episode. Often the studio gives them grief as to which episode to air first. Perhaps the director intended on airing Tax Man as a first episode, but the studio thought otherwise. Just a possibility.

  • @bagofdicks69

guess you got something in common with it then.

  • ROFL too bad hiccups isn't this good

    (it's not bad,just not great)

  • i fell in love with gabrielle miller.

    =]

  • gabrielle miller was a guest star on NCIS not too long ago, check it out

  • I love Saskatchewan. There's lots to see...there's nothing to block your view. lol

  • Nice shirt!

  • I had to move away just when I was getting interested in this show. So much better than all the canned stupid sitcoms that use fake audiences to tell you when to laugh because they know they're not funny.

Does anybody have the episode with Lacey's mugs that said "Corner G and the Rub" on them? And that one when Brent went on vacation out on the grass and everybody had to speak to him in postcard-ese. What a riot!!!

  • i watched that episode last night. it is halarious! or the one joke about the penguin driving lmfao

  • Somehow I stumbled upon this video and decided to check it out...Corner Gas got to be my favorite show.Relaxes me and makes me laugh!Regards from CRO/HUN!

  • this show should be huge like seinfeld but tv doesnt air it much

  • this is the best show about nothing ever. as it was family watching and it was hilarious.

  • @zanky81 Funny you should say show about nothing. Like that phrase, there were so many episodes stolen frm Seinfeld. I wonder if Jerry gets a cheque every month?

  • @ernie27177 These days every show has something taken from somewhere. Kramer's entrance is like the fonze from happy days. Elaines when she screws up her face looks like lucille ball. As long as it is done well nobody minds.

  • @zanky81 I can give you half a dozen example's where the whole show was stolen from Seinfeld. And what you are telling me is nothing.

  • @zanky81 your exactly right. how i met your mother is a total rip off of friends but it's till a good show

  • @zanky81 I disagree, Seinfeld is the best show about nothing.

  • @zanky81 seinfeld is but close

  • this show ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! I think it could have gone on for a few more seasons and Brent should have ended up with lacy

  • I wish this show did go a few more seasons. I am kinda glad that Brent and Lacy didn't get together. I think it would have been a cliche if they did.

  • there is a potential movie in the works.. the set is being preserved

  • @populardale

I though the set was kinda.. left to the weeds.

    No?

  • I was there this summer, the lawn was mowed. the paint was fading, but whats a paint touchup.

  • @kefri916

I was there in the summer of 09 (august). the lawn was trimmed, there was a security guard protecting the building from vandilism, the only problem with the building was the paint was kind of faded. but whats a paint touchup. Right?

  • I used to watch Corner Gas on WGN in New Mexico but then they stopped playing it and now all they show is The Bob and Tom Show

  • Hank is da bomb

  • The show has been shut down...dont expect any future episodes...

    LOL

  • they thought it was time to stop, the didn't get shut down

  • purple majestic mountains. you knwo you've seen them somewhere XD

  • but i like the cops the most

  • Especially Davis. I love the way he says, "All right!"

  • i love how it says not a lot going on when davis is sitting in his car lol. hint hint

    XD

    they're all my faovrite characters

  • purple and majestic XD

  • Eric petterson is the funniest on the show

  • I love Corner Gas XD Wanda is the absolute best.

  • This scene really set the tone for the series. I've seen almost every episode and I loved every one of them. I hope they make a 'reunion' or Christmas special some time soon.

  • i love saskatchawen i'am not sure if i spelled it right...but i love the place

  • switch the last a with the e and you'd have been right

  • Switch the last a and e -- Saskatchewan

  • I've got all 6 seasons on DVD, & enjoy watching them.

  • Haha. This scene was hilarious! I haven't watched the show yet, but I have to now. Hope the rest is as funny as this! And he's right, it IS flat. We don't have many flat areas here in Norway.. Mostly just mountanous and hilly areas.

  • Corner Gas is a must see!

  • Non-Canadian!!

  • This show is great, you must have terrible taste. It's better than most mediocre American comedy like on ABC or CBS.

  • I was at the old set today...SO COOL!

    I sure miss the show.

You never know where the road ahead will take you..until u stumble across the set of Corner Gas

  • :( This was a great show, I'm sad they stopped making it.

  • coming to the big screen?

  • Did anyone else but me notice that they changed the Theme song slightly in the 2nd season???

  • LOL!

  • saskatchewan life is great!

  • AGREED! i am guessing you live there lol

  • perfectly captures brents and hanks carector

  • I love this show so much. XD

  • Probably the best Candian show ever. Need to get the box set!

  • wut about trailer park

  • what about trailer park boys ????

  • You can tell me that your dog ran away, than tell me that it took three days, Ive heard every joke, Ive heard every one you say... You'd think theres not a lot going on, look closer baby your so wrong! And thats why you can stay so long when theres not alot going on....

    You've gotta love it, JACKASS!

  • Or you could shut up and mind your buisness.

  • Haha! :D

  • ive been watching this show forever and its been great! im so they decided to cancel it. :(

but the last episode was worthing of the ending

lol, yesterday was Canada Day, and on the Comedy Network they had the Corner Gas marathon, i watched every singel one...

  • I watched them all also! xD

  • and when you were finished did you say "SHIT!"

I know so many people who love this show (my entire family included) but i just don't get it :s

Since all the box sets are in my basement, might as well give it another chance

  • Corner Gas is freakin awesome..greatest canadian comedy of all time..\m/..

  • Agreed

  • This show is so awesome, i have all the seasons, saw every episode, i loved every one of them and hopefully they make a movie :D sucks theres no more episodes :(

  • "There's lots to see, nothing to block your view"... Wow. It's true. This scene very funny. You have to be a writer and an actor to really appreciate the whole dynamics of this scene. Which I used for a scene for a "rehearsal" between three actors.

  • I love this show sooo much :D. "Thanks for pointing that out it is kind of flat" xD

  • yes its the corner gas theme song

  • im so sad i watch it all the time on t.v. and they stopped making new eps :(

    corner gas forever <3

  • its so funny, my favourite is oscer lol

  • best show ever

  • lovethis!!!

  • i love corner gas, its my favouite show.... it makes u proud to be canadain

  • i'm not canadian. i'm Texan, and i really like this show! :D

  • in what sense does it make you proud? not ragging on it or anything, dont get me wrong, just curious

  • briliant............

  • This is the number one comedy in Canada

  • This show could be number one in America if they have it on.

  • @scottieman2 Sorry. New episodes ceased a couple years ago. You will have to buy the package. :(

We caught two seasons on cable here. :)

  • @CarlSchwamberger

    Oh, okay.

    :) Thanks.

  • sorry if this is a dumb question, but is this a Canadian show?

i am from the US so i have no clue

  • lol yeah, it is. Although I hear it's catching on in the Northern States.

  • yea it's a canadian show all canadian actors.

but Brent said he doesn't want 2 be recognized as JUST a canadian tv series (just thought I would add the last bit for no reason)

  • Man I drove across Saskatchewan. It was sweet. Saskatchewan is my favorite place in Canada asides from BC.

  • Did you see Corner Gas, It is real sad now it all bored up. Nothin too see there i real wanted to go in the store but when we got there Everthing was gone even the Corner Gas sign

  • hahaha!! i love this show!

  • Corner gas is funny. It was so well scripted, actually crafted. Credit to Brent Butt, he made certain the show was authentic, shooting on the bald prairie. 'bravo to the cast of Corner Gas. Thanks for all the laughs. As far as I'm concerned Dog River can proudly seat itself next to Mayberry in tv comedy lore.

  • great show. love it. and it hasnt left ,just hiding,is on wgn out of chicago. monday and tuesday late nite. 3 shows each nite

  • the firts scene actually made, is on episode #2 the tax man. that was made b4 this one.

  • Yes, they made a few later episodes first so they could make sure the had the characters down pact for the premier. But this is the first scene ever broadcast.

  • lmao i though he was serious lol great gotta love canadian comedy:D

  • loved this show to death, between this and trailer park boys it really made canadian tv worthwhile

  • Ahahahaha just think ...

This whole epic show was started with that scene aha

  • *sigh*

so sad it had to go

    wait!

    it didn't have to

    *cries*

  • I will miss this show:(

It was a great show that made me laugh and I loved all the actors!

And the best part was that it was a Canadian show!!!!!

  • An end to an era,

and a great one at that!

    2004-2009

  • davis the cop went to scholl in edmonton with my mom

oh ya this show is acually filmed in dog river

  • Actually, Dog River is a fictional town. The real town, which is used for Dog River, is Rouleau.

  • It really sucks that it's over now... I always thought it was kind of cool to know that every week there was a show being filmed in Saskatchewan. And a really good show at that. It will be missed.

  • Hank sure makes a point eh

  • this show will be missed

  • ya i loved this show. plenty of laughs

  • i cant belive its over...

  • they named today after corner gas its called corner gas day because the show ended
