Have done the trench before, but not Kahuku ledge. Have heard a little about some interesting stuff that direction but not from a scuba perspective. How deep? Whats it like? Shore dive?

The actual ledge starts at 70 ft. and drops down to well beyond recreational limits. you need a boat to dive this spot and the conditions have to be perfect. Most people don't go because it's extremely rare that the conditions are right for a dive.
