  • How were they never a tag team, the way the Steiners and even the Harts were?

  • Randy Savage a St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Player? I Love Those Cardinals!

That makes wanna say... OOOHHH Yeahhh!

  • This interview chokes me up up each time

  • Dat foot thing at the end.

  • RIP Randy Savage Ohhhhh Yeahhhhh !!!!

  • Lanny is a super intelligent, sweet spirited man. What a brilliant insight on a complicated man. Lanny is something special.

  • Leaping Lanny Poffo. What a great wrestler in his own right. Very talented man.

  • @grantorino2009 Too bad WWE used him as a jobber most of the time.

  • I can't believe that this ordinary (in a positive meaning) balanced man is the same guy that played that funny gay character 20 years ago. :-)

  • The Poffos are all class.

  • wished i can ask Lanny a question or 2 really bad , but I know he will never respond to it...

  • He needs to be in the HOF now! Let his brother induct him.

  • I think 99% of people who heard the news, and knew who he was, just thought "Whaaat?". I guess with wondering when Scott Hall is going to pop off with his drug problems, I forget about the other older wrestlers.

  • @Lolp821 Seems like Hall and Chyna would be next.

  • Lanny has a great genial manner.

  • very humble guy respect lanny big time

  • lanny poffo the worlds smartest man...rip macho king, randy savage

  • @el84oro I think Stephen Hawking is tied with Lanny for first place, but still technically correct. RIP Macho Man!

  • Lanny's Macho impersonation is spot on! Lanny was underrated, he was entertaining too, especially as the Genius.

  • When I used to watch Lanny Paffo wrestle I thought he was kinda lame, his poems and how he never really reached the top. However seeing this made me realize what a thought full guy he is. I did not know he was Randy's brother until this day, I never really knew much about the personal lives of the wrestlers back then. Good interview.

  • The Genius and Macho Man were brothers?! Damn, I never knew that. Holy crap!

  • @hemanownsyou

Their father was wrestling legend Angelo Poffo. That's how they broke into the business.

PS: There were quite a few unusual family relations within the wrestling industry over the decades. I was shocked when I learned "Warlord" and "Baby Doll" were brother & sister: considering the fact that he towered over her by what looked like about 2 feet and he had about 200 pounds on her, easy.) Having him for a brother, I thought she'd be more the size of Joanie Laurer ("Chyna")

  • @hemanownsyou Yes the WWf were good at hiding facts, weren't they?

  • I have one of the frisbees he used to throw to the crowd back in the day signed by him.

  • Lanny is one positive man. Life must be nice through his eyes.

  • You can really tell how much Lanny loved his big brother. I know people love their siblings, but it's just very beautiful to hear him talk about him like this.

  • i never ever knew the genius was macho-man's brother! i liked when the genius talked with his poems. and macho man was my favorite next to warrior

  • U take care Lanny... Take care.. R.I.P Randy...

  • The Smartest family in the business. We have here the genius and his brother used the graduation song. Epic!

  • Very Nice !!! Long Live Randall Poffo aka Macho Man Randy Savage oh yeah !!!!

  • Leaping Lanny!

  • Class act is the best way to describe this video and the Poffo family..

    Long live the Madness!!!

  • This clip made me so sad. Thanks for the comments Lanny "The Genius" Poffo.

  • genius

  • Lanny Poffo is such a class act

  • Always love listening to Lanny speak, he's a great guy, and i always liked his Gimmick "The Genius". He always has good things to say about Vince too. So many former wrestlers seem to bash Vince, but Lanny doesn't seem to have a bad word for him. Also, if you enjoyed listening to Lanny , and you haven't already done so, i recommend you watch the Lanny Poffo shoot which is here on youtube.

  • great poem. Miss the Macho man still. RIP oh yeah.

  • he's up there with his father and miss elizebeth

  • Macho Man Randy Savage was one of the biggest stars of all time in pro wrestling. he'll be sadly missed, R.I.P. Randy.

  • I met him at a ramada inn.His voice is deep and projects insane lol.He said hello how are you guys doing.Every one in the room said fine and your self? He was only talking to one person lol

  • @ProspectNY11211 Wow, now THAT'S what you call "charisma"! R.I.P. "Macho Man"!!!

  • @ProspectNY11211 What do u mean by "projects insane"?

  • Yeah but he dised some people for being in the H O F like the VonErichs that wasn't cool

  • Lanny is awesome. I remember when I was a kid watching the TV champ Leaping Lanny Poffo in Atlantic Grand Prix wrestling, teaming with Leo Burke. I was glad to see him as the Genius in the WWF. Thanks for the fond childhood memories.

  • @Avonidsed Hey, don't forget about the frisbees he used to throw into the crowd back then too upon him reading off one of his many pre-match poems, LOL! :-)

  • So you wonder...did they have a specific buxom blonde in mind? Fun to think who it might have been if they indeed had someone in mind. I was thinking Missy Hyatt maybe? This is a terriffic interview

  • I own an actual first run episode of All Stars or main event when randy picked elizabeth as his manager. It was taped off of tv and i have the shows leading up to it also....it was on a compilation tape I bought at an indy show about 10 years ago

  • No way. That sounds like him, but there is no way that is the Genius.

  • @TombstoneInc I barely ever bash anyone on Youtube because it's childish but if you don't think that's Lanny Poffo aka The Genius you are insane or ignorant

  • @TombstoneInc It's definitely him... picture him with longer hair.

  • Wait a sec...Leaping Lanny Poffo, aka the genius, and Macho Man were brothers?

  • @bigcheese1973 yup common knowledge...he seems like a great guy

  • great from lanny!

  • Not only does Savage and his brother deserve to be in the WWF Hall of Fame, their father, Angelo Poffo does as well. He was an NWA Chicago US Champ,NWA Tag Champ in Detroit and in Texas Tag Team Champ, and he also held the WWA Tag Team belt several times. For a time he was one half of a team called the Devil's Duo managed by none other than Bobby Heenan. He had a great career and years ago was inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame after managing Macho. RIP Randy and Angelo Poffo

  • What is with this interviewer? What stupid questions he asks!

  • We love you RANDY!!!! RIP

  • That is Lanny?

  • I always liked Lanny. He was a good wrestler and I can't figure out why he didn't become a bigger star.He was the first wrestler I saw in the US who was doing a moonsault. His was kind of different. His feet were on the second and 3rd rope.

  • So sad....Macho...Elizabeth....... I agree Lanny is a class act!

  • @chaksheba Well, They're together forever now.

  • It sounds terrible, Lanny said it was a beautiful way to die.

  • He should put on a mortar board and recite a poem for his brother.

  • i miss you macho man i got tears when i heard his death ;-*(

  • Wow, this was a great interview with Lanny on his brother. Such a great bond Lanny had with Randy and he spoke so highly of him.

  • man lanny poffo does'nt even look like the genius anymore! he looks so different these days

  • as a kid I always wished I caught one of his frisbees

  • a great family; great interview

  • this really upsets me. i would expect him to have a speech ready on a scroll. this didnt even rhyme. all jokes aside i havent seen the genius in a long time. glad to see him again, but sucks the reason why. no one will ever forget WM3.

  • @radicalman33 lol you're wrong for that....lol....honestly, for a split second, I thought that he'd have a poem for him too...lol

  • Although Kurt Angle never wrestled the Macho Man Randy Savage in his career, he did pay respects on his twitter account. Kurt should thank Randy for paving the way for wrestlers like Angle, Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, Kofi, Booker, Otunga, Mysterio, Lethal, Orton, Cena, The Miz, and Del Rio.

  • 100% class act! RIP MACH

  • "THAT IS GREAT STUFF!!!"

  • lanny poffo's voice is a smooth as warm butter milk.. a 100percent genuine great man. and he truley is a genuis.. truley

  • @23jordanAIRwalker : "...truely"!?!?!?

  • Actually, it was working for Jerry Jarrett in Memphis where Savage got recognized...

  • Wow, Randy's brother Lanny seems like a kind peace loving man. I would love to have an oppurtunity to shake his hand as well as Macho's if he was still with us today.

  • Len Poffo the Genius... Thank you for this information for all Fans of your Brother Randy... WE LOVE YA.. OHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHH!

  • Haha wow Lanny does the best impersonation of his brother's voice.

  • He snapped into to many Slim Jims

  • @kingamer19 Gay.

  • Great interview! A beautiful way to remember the Macho Man!

  • Lanny still looks young

  • one of if not the best serious videos on youtube

  • That was awesome! And seeing one of Randy's old baseball photos was very special! Randy had that same intense look in his eyes even then!

  • R.I.P. Macho Man, Lanny, Lynn, our thoughts are with you!

  • Great stuff there from Leaping Lanny. Love it when he talks like his brother.

  • He is the calmer version of Randy...God bless the Macho Man!!!

  • Lanny Poffo's a true gentleman. Great interview.

    RIP Macho Man.

  • Thank you so much Lanny. It was very interesting. :)

    RIP Randy Savage

  • Lanny sounds like a wonderful person..thats why it seems every wrestler mentions him when they are talking about Savage with a lot of respect

  • Real good! I liked it a lot! Long live the memory of Macho Man Randy Savage, without a doubt, one of the greatest WRESTLING stars of all time! Rest in Peace my friend...

  • lanny still has that great voice i loved the character of the genius,i loved randy too he will and was already greatly missed, but now were all left knowing we'll never get to say goodbye and thanx, but our love goes out to the poffo family.

  • WWE has a loooong history of not giving honors to their legends: here are just of few underused and under appreciated: Rowdy Piper, Super Fly Snuka, Jake the Snake Roberts, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Macho Man, Mr. Perfect (offensive how under appreciated this guy was), Big Boss Man. All of the above are worth more in talent than the entire RAW and Smackdown roster combined (excluding Taker of course, he is untouchable, the last of a dying breed)

  • @Silverpup67 Politics are never fair they eat away at peoples souls, but I fully agree with you.

  • Out of all the deaths in wrestling this for me was the worst. Im glad he was happy in his personal life but i will always be upset at WWE for blacklisting him for about 10 years.

For about 10 years WWE never mentioned him, or showed him in video packages, DVD's, action figures, video games, HOF etc. despite him being one of top 10 wrestlers who put their company on map.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV me to ese i had tears when i heard his death really got to me i was a huge fan of him back in wcw 1997 nwo times ;-*( oh yeahh long like da madness

  • His last line was the best line of the whole vid!!! Agree with me thumbs up this!!

  • Randy Savage little brother talks about his death

  • This reporter doesn't know what he's talking about when he mentions Slick among the managers in the WWF in 1985 that bid to be Macho Man's manager. Slick didn't come to the WWF until 1986.

  • @speedbuggy Well, c'mon man. Alot of tmes, I hear wrestlers doing interviews where they forget alot of shit from their own careers.

  • matcho man will be missed
