  • Really like this video the guy is'nt bad either.

  • MILF

  • he looks a bit like jeremy irons

  • @TheWoodlandWitch55 I apologize for offending you and the female gender, but its used in a different context. I’m not saying “omg I’m a whore because I sleep around and I hate women and I like to degrade myself!” it means “I love rockapella and I want to sound young and avant-garde.” Its a misunderstanding. Hopefully we can make amends, and join forces as two women, rather than two women forcing each other apart! When women come together they can change the world! XO RockapellaHoe :)

  • @TheWoodlandWitch55 You're not the only one I have to explain this to, but I love my username because it’s not really "accepted", its avant garde...like dadaism. People got offended when they saw toilets hanging in galleries, like Marcel Duchamp’s “fountain” which was totally unheard of, but Duchamp was a genius, and now we see that stuff all the time. I am an artist and love catching people on edge, with my art and my fashion...and my names!

  • @TheWoodlandWitch55 We all like to have fun and do things that aren't necessarily wholesome 24/7. If I did, I couldn’t truly call myself a human. And I know my username has "whore" in it, but that refers to how much I love the 90s group, Rockapella. These days if you say "oh I'm a fashion whore", or "I'm a car whore," ...etc it means you like something a lot, that's all.

  • Dear @TheWoodlandWitch55 Why are you angry at me? When I saw your comment, as usual when I get negative comments, my heart sinks, and I wonder why someone is mad at me for stating my opinion or offering an ounce of my presence into the web. So, I understand that Gossip Girl is a "bad" show, but I love it because I am human and I am a kid. (AND I love Blair Waldorf because she is so cute and funny and has great style.)

  • This is one of my mum's favorite songs. I used to listen to it with her when I was a child- the song had no meaning to me, it was just a nice song. But now that I'm grown, I understand why she loved it so much.

  • Hounds of Love is the best album ever made...so perfect. Welcome to your senses.....

  • She is the BEST ♥♥♥

  • This video isnt at all what I had expected. Thell never be another like Kate Bush! >^..^<

  • Those wartime parties must have been great ;)

  • Who ever said '85 sucked?

  • @deetgeluid I hope no one I was born that year lol

  • @deetgeluid Most New Wave ending up in silly simple pop sucked in 85-87

  • Strings sounds SICK!!!

  • really beautiful!!

  • 8 ignorants by now smasha79 *sigh*

  • Listen to @ 480p

  • Kate Bush u r amazing :)

  • great

  • wonderful talent

  • Gaga wishes she could make this kind of magic.

  • @SesameStrut Leave Gaga out of it, it is impossible these days to come onto a video without some sort of Gaga/Other artist comparison debate. Kate Bush is very different to Gaga. Gaga is her own artist. Stop comparing them.

  • @SesameStrut I agree! I like Gaga, she's talented, but Kate is a genius.

  • Youtube exists for this video. Turn the volume up and play it again... Do it.

  • How come this amazing video has only 191 754 views?

  • This song and video are so beautiful it makes me cry

  • Thinking mans crumpet.

  • She is so incredibly gorgeous! :)

  • I NEVER THOUGHT SHE WOULD BE THIS AMAZING, im stunned by her greatness, i got a hold of 50 words for snow, and i must say, after listening to that, hounds of love, director's cut and the sensual world, shes one of the most amazing artists ever born.

  • @marrymekate Isn't she magic? Simply no one like her – much as they try to be.

  • @marrymekate you should watch "the whole story" videos while its still on youtube. kind of hard to beat her "greatest hits" collection. The Dreaming is probably my favorite album, as a whole, though. she tries a lot of different things on that - kind of hard to top.

  • I really don't understand this video. I'm new to Kate Bush only ever heard wuthering heights.

  • @Pollypocket1992 - She Saved the Fox from the Hounds of Love By Grabbing Him Into Her Arms and Running For Safety and Jumping Into the Rabbit Hole...! She Sacrificed Herself To Save The Poor Frightened Fox from the Hounds of Love Chasing Them Down... ^..^ sk

  • Ive always been a coward

  • There is such a great sense of excitement about all her music!

  • started listening to kate bush in 1992 with a very special friend who passed away along time ago have just recently started listening to it again, kate bush is the best!

  • What a fun old video of one of those songs immediately before I met her. Back when I still believed in love.

  • "Hounds of Love" What an amazing album! Brilliant songs incredible vocals! Kate at her best!!

  • I mean : One of the best albums ever made.

  • I love this and The Futureheads versions equally.

  • Such a great song!! Kate Bush is amazing

  • AMAZING song. whole album is such a classic.

Futureheads & Welly! have good covers going too but this will forever get #1

  • you wont find live coverage of this song every1 is search b4 they go to 1 of her performances

  • can someone find me a real live performance of this song? All the videos are just this recording pasted over footage of her performing

  • @Hipochacco Ever hear of lip-synching?

  • @sweetjoybefallthee I realized that shortly after. Yes and it's lame =(

  • HOUNDS OF LOVE is the perfect album ever made.

  • god I love this song sooooooo much

  • Kate Bush is timeless! I'm fifteen and I love her MUSIC!

  • @LadyOsiris53

there is still hope for the youth!

  • HOUNDS OF LOVE is the perfect album ever created....The Ninth Wave is outstanding !

  • i recently saw the movie "night of the demon" by jacques tourneur, a director considered an "auteur" by the film establishment but unfairly forgotten by modern audiences, really, and it's surprising and refreshing to see how kate bush uses and references the movie here (in song and video) a little bit, as if she had a dream after watching the movie. anyway - i highly recommend the film and the other films by the same director. both tourneur and bush have a similar, kindred spirit, i think...

  • @hellcaddie2002 Yes , Tourneur's work is worth looking into, especially "Cat People," which he did for Val Lewton, and the film noir classic, "Out of the Past." As for Kate Bush and Tourrneur being kindred spirits, perhaps on this album, but that's probably it.

  • @hellcaddie2002 The opening clip ("It's in the trees! It's coming!" is from that movie. I remember watching it once and saying to myself "OMG! That's from Hounds of Love!"

  • @hellcaddie2002 Yes I remember especially in the film: 'its coming...through the trees' wonderful and timeless as is this excellent record

  • the aged quality is part of the magic of both this song and video. in the 90s, this album was re-evaluated in context as "proto-alternative", radio stations needed something to fill time while they figured out a new format, made it seem more dated then. now this is amazingly ahead of its time: the song and video share almost none of the same imagery while maintaining a dream-like connection; kate not only directs the video but removes very little clothing in able to imply sexuality...

  • there's a real song here, that obviously still speaks to us about, indeed, about 30 years later. kate bush doesn't just dabble in magical imagery and style; she approaches each layer of her work as a kind of ingredient in a spell, as many actual COMPOSERS of music have. it took a long time for her to start to go stale because of her own belief in music's (and film's) actual power without resorting to gimmicks; remember - she started young, & technological advances we take for granted were new...

  • not many artists can sing any Kate Bush song . There is a true spark in her productions that cannot be copied!!

  • @igreatbritishweather sounds like your comment was produced in a garbage can. I think it's aged really well.

  • @igreatbritishweather This is a music video version on youtube. Of course the audio quality isn't good.

  • She still melts my butter, used to love her and her music pure class.

  • the futureheads made this song , best cover ever

  • I remember being totally and madly in love with kate when this came out and after seeing it again I understand why still

  • kate I ♥ your music .)

  • My heart beats too fast when I listen to Kate.

  • I love this video so much, everything about it makes me happy

  • The sample at the start is maybe from a film Night Of The Demons

Good song from once very talented musician.

  • this song is all right

  • She is so beautiful............: ) beautiful!

  • Such a shame the handsome guy in this video is now deceased! very sad : (

  • @TB35 What was his name?? This song is just classy !!

  • @VelvetViolator Hello, his name was 'Gow Hunter' he was 51 when he passed away, he was a choreographer & Dancer/textile designer, so young such a shame.

  • I really like this song.

  • Could listen to this everyday for the rest of my life

  • futureheads version is good... but kate wins hands down every time. I want to be her¬

  • 26 years today of Hounds of Love! Thank you Kate, for that masterpiece!

  • the beginning of this scared the shit out of me for some reason

  • The song rocks, but I don't like the video very much. That bloke's chin is WRONG!

  • There is no good kate bush cover. I got many other cover on many artists that´s great, but there really is no good kate bush cover.

  • @ICEandWATERLILIES not agreed. my mum does an awesome cover!

  • @Kyuubi1161 I´d like to here that. s:s

  • this is a good example of how self-consciously camp 80s videos are. she totally knows this is ridiculous and is having fun...

  • 3 people need to throw themselves in the lake.

  • utter nonsense

  • FutureHeads Version Better :) But this is still Awesome

  • That man is as strangely handsome as he is strangely familiar...

  • the cover has more views because that band has more fans who are kids using youtube to listen to their music. it's just a slightly different demographic. NOT EVERYTHING'S A CONTEST!

  • futureheads win !!!

  • my hounds of love are hunting you.....

  • omg that jaw

    weird chin there

  • omg that jaw

  • Do you know what I really need? Haven't heared this in YEARS

  • Sorry not bacteria stupid smart phone! Was ballerina shoes...

  • @meribast damn you autocorrect...

  • Kate is in my top 20 favorite female musicians of all time.

I would have gone more literal with the video of KB running through a misty forest while wearing a white gown...interspersed with bloodhounds pulling at the leash...a small cornered fox panting...Kate standing at the edge of a lake that is edged with evergreens and mist throwing satin bacteria shoes in the lake and taking a ballet skip and leap assisted by unseen wires...

  • @meribast O_O

  • how come the version this song sang by futureheads has more songs than the official song

  • @ericalop5 This one has been re-uploaded by Kate or her representatives in March 2011. I don't know how many views this video had before that but I know it was a lot. I've been coming back to this for years. Such and amazing song.

  • @ericalop5 what?

  • 2:05 she looks so pretty

  • This is a favorite what a story it tells thank you Kate Bush

  • RIP

  • One of my favourite songs aswell defintely agree with the person who said she looks gorgeous in glasses. Luckiest man alive Danny. Almost as lucky as Nick Offerman as in Megan Mullally's toyboy.

  • This is one of my favourite Kate Bush songs and I never get tired of hearing it. The image of dogs chasing you is so strong! A really awesome idea :) how I wish I was alive while she was still doing live shows... But I was born in 1997... Im the only one of my friends who has even heard of her and everyone thinks I'm weird, but I think that Kate is probably the best artist there ever was. -3 hope she does some live work soon!! -3-3

  • Rest in peace Gow. ICDC.

  • What can I say.....F#####G GOOD..they dont make music like this anymore

  • RIP Gow Hunter, a great contribution to a great song & video.

  • This is my fave Kate Bush song!

  • What the fuck is Born This Way doing on the side of my fucking screen in suggestions???? Who would EVER think that I would want to see that after watching this? I'm not a music snob but you can tell when something is genuinely expressed and not. This is genuine. Gaga is trying too hard. Come on.

  • @Wheelsgr

yeah. you think thats bad. it's giving me suggestions for BIEBER! How absolutely horrid is that.

  • @Wheelsgr lol I hear ya. It's especially fun when your 3 year old is sitting on your lap and sees the Vevo "suggestions" on the screen.....thanx Vevo.

  • the hounds of love are coming! this song always gave me a sense of being hotly pursued..

  • As much as i try, i still enjoy the Futureheads cover more!! Sorry Kate!

  • Rest in Peace, Gow. Love Norm

  • RIP Gow Hunter.

The chemistry between him & Kate is wonderful.

  • RIP. Gow Hunter.X

  • Exit Gow, stage right. Applause applause! Big soul, generous loving spirit. The world is a poorer place today without you. RIP my dear.

  • RIP Gow Hunter who features in this video !

  • Another classic KB song greatly underrated and not fully appreciated by the fans of the day. Possibly too sophisticated for them.

  • I think that Kate looks sexy at 0:14 - she's such a babe and this song is amazing! :)

  • I wish Kate had made a long-form video for Hounds of Love like she did for Red Shoes.... Can you imagine that?...

  • Kate' must have been inspired by hitchcock's 39 Steps - brillo

  • Three words : I love her!

  • Great Drums

  • oh i do love Kate Bush...

  • Been watching this for months now. I can't stop watching it. It's just superb, the lyrics are captivating the video is well done and draws you in, Kate Bush I would marry, and why did I not find her music years ago? As captivating as I do now? Perhaps I got taste with age? She is a truly great and original artist.

  • @Sidhe747 she was frazers wife on cheers

  • @Simon4642 frasier*

  • @Simon4642

    Strange comment?

  • just think of how cool this would be if they were playing this stuff on mtv like the old days music television sucks,i think these new artist could get alot more air play if they were on mtv.they need to bring the videos back not that stupid shit they got on now.

  • film-makers like to try to make "dream imagery" but it's usually artificial somehow - this is one of the few I've seen that really works the way symbols work in a dream. You would totally take this in to your Jungian therapist. And it fits perfectly with the song's theme of being pursued by love and the ambivalence of surrender.

  • i prefer the futureheads cover

  • @MrKennethfelch then you're a twat

  • @basehead617 love you too

  • I hate Lilly Allen and Kate Nash... :/

  • In the 70s and 80s we had Kate Bush. In the 00s we have Lily Allen and Kate Nash. Innit.

  • @Vennegoor10 mmmno

  • One of my favourite songs, and it was on my Music exam too, brilliant!

  • the underlying message in this tune has been my life.Pure tune nevertheless.

  • AS MUSISH TESH!

  • /watch?v=hACZf6YKX3g&feature=player_detailpage#t=293s

    DO IT

  • music tech exam!!!!

  • @curtmank HFY

  • @curtmank YES

  • Do I hear King of Leon Sex on Fire In It??

  • @gulagga371 No.

  • love her hair in this video!

  • It's in the trees, it's coming!!!

  • i think people are confusing the fact that Kate has irish ancestry with her being british

  • @matthewmttyd didn't say she wasn't :p just figured that's where he got the irish thing from.

  • @matthewmttyd yeah.. her mother was irish and she used a lot of irish elements in her music, mostly this album.. recorded a couple irish folk songs too.

  • Kate, SUA LINDA!!!!

  • 0:20 Alfred Hitchcock!

  • I'm sorry, but no way do the lyrics in this song come close to that of Bob Dylan. This is a fantastic song - Bob Dylan is on a different level though.
