I don't think that , many people today use plugins and make grate music with them ,

i think that if you have good plugins and effects like UAD (i don't have..) you can achieve fat sound like the virus..because the virus it's actually a computer with great sound effects that beutify your sounds..

you are right that the virus can make unique sounds , but you can make great sounds with other plugins too...

Sorry but the "pluin sound" is NOT as "full," FAT and unique as the REAL ACCESS VIRUS TI2! I just got one btw, UNREAL!!!

And i have all the major ones: nexus, vanguard, omnisphere, rob papen's, etc.

people should stop wasting your time with plugins too much and get real hardware synths. I would say this... 70% hardware, 30% plugins.
