3 were for the All Japan Heavyweight Championship, which they call the "TRIPLE CROWN" (the 3 on his waist)

2 were for the unified All Japan Tag-Team Titles (Heavyweight Tag Team and All-Asia Tag Team) which were unified for a while (the 2 cris-crossed on his chest)

1 was the New Japan Tag Team Title.

Well see, in the US there's no equivalent titles or wrestling structure, anyway.

Also, Angle held every belt in TNA at one point; it's called booking. :P

He held them all at the same time, but it is a bit misleading. The 6 belts actually only represent 3 championships. The belts in that picture are the AJPW Triple Crown Championship (Which is made up of 3 belts), the AJPW Double Cup Tag Team Championship (Which is made up of 2 belts), and the IWGP Tag Team Championship.

@OlympicHell The Triple Crown is the unification of the NWA International and United National titles and the PWF title. The Double Cup, I believe, combined the NWA International Tag Team and PWF Tag Team titles

The gold one on his right shoulder, (on the left, facing the picture) is the PWF Tag Team Title. The one under his chin is the NWA International Tag. The one over the other shoulder is the IWGP Tag Title. On the waist, from the top, in order, are the PWF Title, the NWA UN Title, and the NWA International Title. The 2 non-IWGP Tag belts are one title, the AJPW Unified Tag. The 3 on his waist are also one, the AJPW Triple Crown.
