I wish they brought the guillotine back. That seems to be the most cost-efficient and humane way to end a life. No need for the crowds of people to see it however.

The video has no audio...which is fine. There always has to be a secondary method of execution and, I think in this case, it was smothering. Hanging is not an efficient nor humane way to kill someone.

This was a bizarre hanging method. Surely the drop should be enough to kill the condemned. Why was there need to push his head back with a hand? Was this to damage the spinal cord further? This seems very inefficient.
