it was a NUKE but it was detonated above earth inner atmosphere. creating a shockwave, yes. but not strong enough to do more damage than was already taken at the scene already. It was a goddamn NUKE!! To all of you that don't know physics, the reaction in nuclear bombs causes electronics to fail. Of course you wouldn't notice it because everything else is destroyed.
HOWEVER, in MW2 Cap. Price launched and detonated a nuke ABOVE the atmosphere so there wasn't any fallout that reached the surface. But that did leave to a coastal wide blackout. That was Price's intention the whole time.

It was a goddamn NUKE!! To all of you that don't know physics, the reaction in nuclear bombs causes electronics to fail. Of course you wouldn't notice it because everything else is destroyed.
HOWEVER, in MW2 Cap. Price launched and detonated a nuke ABOVE the atmosphere so there wasn't any fallout that reached the surface. But that did leave to a coastal wide blackout. That was Price's intention the whole time.

Because, the nuke was detonated over the Earth's atmosphere, it created and EMP, if it had been detonated below the atmosphere, it wouldhave created the traditional nuke effect
