  • I watche dthis film for the first time yesterday, and I loved it

  • oh my, there's a part in this movie later where Jeanette Macdonald and Jane Powell

sing a duet...of Grieg's song -" Springtide." It's breathe taking , it has to be one of my all time fav movie moments...could you upload that some day? How I wish they did more together!

  • i could watch this again and again and never get tired of it.

  • How cute was Elinor Donahue?

  • Please someone upload this movie wanna see

  • Which daughter is Elinor Donahue?

  • this is the earliest film I have seen Elinor Donahue in from Father Knows Best

  • @ramblergarage She was in an earlier film The Unfinished Dance that is shown on TCM that made released before Three Daring Daughters. Very cute.

  • Love this film. Women are so beautiful then. Beautiful personality, beautiful hair, beautiful through and through.

  • Such a great film. Jane Powell is soooo beautiful.

  • this is like one of her first movie right? she was still a teen age in here.

  • I'm currently watching this and recording it off TCM. If anyone wishes a copy, email lngbrnchlady@yahoo.com

  • @lngbrnchlady i was watching it to lol.

  • i love this movie!

  • Do you have the whole movie? :)

  • love it

  • she would have been a great mom

  • I have been chasing this move entitled "The birds and the bees"

  • I can't stop singing this song. I have a bit of trouble with the second verse though not being able to manage several parts by myself!! This is such a beautiful film - so much talent all in one picture. I only wish I could find it on DVD along with some of Jeanette and Jane's other films.

  • @JaneAusten90 me too, tried everywhere on website, i think they didn't make it on dvd yet.

  • @duongnuhiep for some reason the Mac-Eddy movies and some of their solo projects like this one are really hard to find on dvd. I had to order this one from someplace in Brazil.

  • @dbengtnyc The Warner Brothers Archive Collection is releasing Naughty Marietta and Sweethearts on 04.26.2011.

  • filmpoems check out the freddy martin version.

''if you have to look around to find a reason, for such a wonderful thing , you can bet it on a sentimental season. falling in love is done in the spring .... etc but it doesn't sound like that on here ! !

  • A Dickey-bird whispered, "Haven't you heard

Spring is here, Spring is here, Spring is here."

A little crow sang a happy hello

"My favorite time of the year."

A croaky frog sang a song on his log

"Lose your blues, lose your blues, lose your blues."

    The whip-poor-will ????

    on hearing the Dickey-bird's news.

  • the whip poor will '....did a triple a A trill.... ''

where's the video of jose iturbe playing route66 ? removed ? too bad

  • Thanks for providing that line. Do you know any of the lyrics in the second part, after "hearing the dickey-bird's news"? I can't understand anything past that line.

  • Hello - here's my best attempt at the rest of the lyrics for you. Maybe somebody else will be able to fill in the gaps. And the ... did a ... to the blue jay, Who told them once in a while, Who responds to how d'ya do n' how d'ya do jay, How would you like to go for a lark? do do do ...... Said I think that I feel Winter's o'er, winter's o'er, winters o'er The dickey bird said I give you my word, It ain't gonna' snow, It ain't gonna' rain It ain't gonna snow anymore!
  • I think it goes:

"And the Cuckoo did a cuckoo to the Blue Jay,

Who told the Lark in the park,

Who responded howdya-do and howdya-do Jay,

How would you like to go for a lark? "

    then

"The Bumble Bee said, I think that I feel

Winters oer, winters oer, winters oer . . ." etc.

    Hope that helps : )

  • Ooo!

**Who responded to "How'd'ya do?" with "How'd'ya do, Jay? How would you like to go for a lark?"**

  • The whippoor will did a triple A trill :)

I love 3 Darling Daughters too!

  • omg !!!i like that....its 60's..so cool

  • Wow. My family also randomly burst into perfectly harmonized music. Of course, it was to music like "Wild Thing" and "Bohemian Rhapsody". Times change, man.
