Wow...I see a lot of people out here that have no clue (sleeping). There is no such thing as government that can lead and do what they want for the people. "ALL" government leaders in power are puppets...plain and simple...do your homework! A lot of you are too busy purchasing things and watching TV to realize the truth...stop watching TV...and read!...heck...meditate even. You are not doing your country any favors by voting.
Peace and Love...spread the message of LOVE to all.
Hey "robolojo', he isn't in pain anymore, he's dead. Number one, George Carlin passed away earlier this year and two, it's just a comedy act. Lighten up. lol
As to not voting...you allow the crooks to stay in power. Crooks thrive on apathy. You better find someone honest or you'll be ruled by the criminals.
Actually, the popular vote elected John Kerry the second time around. Our Electoral College system is what gave Bush the vote. I'm not justifying the near-50% that voted for Bush, but just saying, more Americans voted for John Kerry than George Bush. One thing that this video is not correct on is that the country was bought and paid for and sold years ago... the current financial crisis would suggest otherwise.
oh oh the end was near but I dont think that you could tell this because of the man's apperance of posture. George Carlin had peaked. I mean back in the seventies he would talk about some corn ball shit. The HBO special that this clip comes from is the last and the best.
George made some valid points. Shortly before he passed away, he mentioned something to the effect that "this country is finished." And he may be right! We'll have to wait and see.
This sums it up, but there are other canidates running for president other than GOP and Democratic nominees. Why are they not discussed in mainstream media??? Why don't people discuss them at Starbucks?????
i don't vote because I don't want to stand in line :3

Yeah, this is just stupid.
Allmost like a shill or something.
If you in fact are so intelligent then vote for the good guys.
DON'T vote for any of the two big corporate puppets.
Make your vote and voice one of those who is actually pulling in the right direction and more will follow, don't lose hope.
Never EVER give up!
xcarobx9 3 years ago
Not advocating to vote or not but voting for the "good guys" is subjective to every person.
You say good guys like their is a clear definition of good guys and bad out there, which by itself, is judgemental.
Good to one person may be "bad" to another; there can never be a winner if people don't realize that their judgements are theirs and no one else's
The bigger point Mr. Carlin was trying to make is if we work on ourselves instead of blaming everyone else, we will make better decisions.

Sorry, was not completely sober when I typed that :P Mind was a little hazy, but yes, I was referring to Al Gore, not John Kerry.

Don't be so smug. I'm sure George Carlin would have plenty of sarcastic things to say about Deutschland, too. That's the way he was.
