HACKER is or was a British radio brand from Maidenhead in England. UK radio enthusiasts tend to agree that Hacker made the very finest portables in the UK (much better than Roberts) while the company existed (1960 to 1980).
Hacker radios are undoubtedly some of the best sounding portable radios ever produced anywhere, with almost hi fi quality audio. The radios now have quite a cult following. Hacker never originally exported, lately I have sent Hacker radios worldwide.
