im so afriad to be that guy who couldnt pull himself out of the water, im not heavy at all, im like 160, i'd probably drop 5-10 pounds first week or two bootcamp, but i dont right now have much upper body strength.. i have nilche in fact, any recruits know if coast guard gives you pre-bootcamp physical training, i know navy does drills before bootcamp to get them ready for it, jogging excersises etc.

Yeah agreed with the last comment, my sister came to see me in Army bootcamp graduate 15 years ago, she laughed at the DS yelling at another soldier for something minute, I quickly pulled her aside and told her to be quite. It was fun i wish I could do it all over again, but my physical condition will not allow me to. I did get my revenge on my sister about 8 years ago when I wen t to see her graduate AF boot, I got to laugh at her Drill Instructors when they were yelling at the Airmen....HAHA,

Seriously- and if youre an athlete and join the coast guard, you'll be a part of the Navy sports program, bit other than that (which only applies to less than 1 percent of the armed forces), the Coast Guard is a much more rewarding branch Id have to say. Maybe thats because Im a retired Navy BM!! Either or; if you find yourself making the "hard" decision between the Navy and Coast Guard..youre golden
@ThatHoodieGuy I just graduated last week. We came in 105-110 and graduated 85. Quite a few discharges due to mental, quite a few to medical and physical ability. Decent amount of reversions.
Im looking at all this arguing and im just wondering WTF!?!?! We are all in the military, we all are serving the country. Every branch has a different mission and every branch has SERVED IN EVERY WAR. No one branch is better than the next. Some just suit a certain individual better than another. I would expect more mature behavior out of military personnel. If someone is bashing on another branch you write them off as ignorant and fucking move on with your life. Granted, most of the time it is routine and boring, but not all the time. I have dealt with Ship collisions, drownings ( Body retrieval ) from boating accidents, boardings and even a tour in Vietnam while in the C.G. The mission has changed to some degree since I was in though, but those things remain ( Except Vietnam ).

im so afriad to be that guy who couldnt pull himself out of the water, im not heavy at all, im like 160, i'd probably drop 5-10 pounds first week or two bootcamp, but i dont right now have much upper body strength.. i have nilche in fact, any recruits know if coast guard gives you pre-bootcamp physical training, i know navy does drills before bootcamp to get them ready for it, jogging excersises etc.

It was fun i wish I could do it all over again, but my physical condition will not allow me to. I did get my revenge on my sister about 8 years ago when I wen t to see her graduate AF boot, I got to laugh at her Drill Instructors when they were yelling at the Airmen....HAHA,

Every branch has a different mission and every branch has SERVED IN EVERY WAR. No one branch is better than the next. Some just suit a certain individual better than another. Granted, most of the time it is routine and boring, but not all the time. I have dealt with Ship collisions, drownings ( Body retrieval ) from boating accidents, boardings and even a tour in Vietnam while in the C.G. The mission has changed to some degree since I was in though, but those things remain ( Except Vietnam ).

At that time, it was Uniform Company also known as the"Red Hats" as the Dixie Cups were dyed red and pulled down. You are right, that was not the place you wanted to be.

Also, I find it hard to believe that someone that can't even form sensible sentences is in the Marine Corps.
