@YoungOldSchoolRapper The internet was around and so were mp3's, but generally there was something special about going to the the music stores and digging through old and new cd's and records. If you live near a college check out the nearby music exchange stores, you end up getting great deals on good music that college kids bought and exchanged. Damn, I used to collect cassette tapes from friends older brothers way back; Ice cube, Tribe, sir mix alot, Juice soundtrack were a few that I got.
