  • you're super awesome and totally gorgeous, and you make it look so easy haha. (also, you know the best jams--I mean really :D) love it!

  • Love these videos. :)

  • whenever i try and brush my curls out, i always just end up with a big fuzzy afro. is there anything you can suggest i do to stop this happening?

  • did you straighten your hair first and then roll? mine is naturally very curly.. would i have to make it straight first?

  • I love your creativity

  • really wasnt all that messy. it looks beautiful!

  • Your tutorials are life saving, like honestly!!!! I've been trying to become more versatile with what I do with my hair, and then I found your awesome vids! Thanks!!

  • thank you!!! i've been wanting to try this hairstyle but didn't know how to do it!! :D

  • Can I blow them dry? or do I have to wait?

  • Cute! I'm going to Paris on Friday and need good hair the whole time! I'm going to spend the whole time in the hotel room doing my hair, my boyfriend will love it! :-D

  • Hehe I remember my mother using those exact same rollers in my hair when I was a little girl.. beautiful looks btw.. Im glad I found you.

  • im doin this look for school, thnxz : )

  • OMIGOODNESS! I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR YOU ALL MY LIFE!!

  • Oh my god, I love you!!! Thank you for these videos!!

  • your vids are great im so in love with vintige 1940's and 50's

i have black hair blonde so doesnt look good on me hehe

so blonde always looks better hehe

    keep it up :)

  • Can you do this look without sponge rollers? Would pin curls work as well?

  • You make great videos! and you make it look sooooo easy!

I tried with sponge rollers and everything but i just can't make it work in general.... I love vintage style so much, I'll be happy to do my hair like this every day, but for instance today I expend a couple hours triying to make it look like your tutorials... didn't happend :( very crapy results in comparation with yours :(

  • Gorgeous! You have a beautiful, classic face as well.

  • When you say let the curls dry, does that mean you curl them with damp hair.

Or is that just a phrase that you say?

  • very nice and i like this song glenn miller love

  • more videos!!! please♥

  • LOL, I've searched High and Low for how to do this hair style. I love Ginger Rogers, and her hair styles. Thanks for the vid. Its great

  • First of all love your videos! :-)

But why wait for 3 or 4 hours? Ít's possible to use a blow dryer, right?

Or it gets to messy perhaps.

  • gosh, ur vids are great :) they're so much simpler than they look! Yours have gotta be the easiest ive seen of the vintage hair tutorials on here that ive seen! keep up the good work :) xx

  • @MellyEmmyxx Thank you so much! :)

  • A quick question, but where did you get your sponge rollers from? I bought some from a chemist but they are useless and keep falling out! Is there anywhere or any brand you could recommend? Thank you! :)

  • @kazellis714 Sorry.. I can't really recommend any specific brand.. These were from a seller of ebay.

  • @kazellis714 I got mine at the dollar store

  • lovely. unrelated, but what color lipstick is that (i know red, but what color/brand)?

  • So I have a myriad of problems. Number one, I've always loved the vintage look, however my hair refuses to cooperate, so I've mostly given up. Number two, I have one of those asymmetrical bobs I am growing out, however my hair is still very short in the back(prolly still not long enough to roll a medium roller), are there resources you can recommend for me? Number three, my hair does not hold a curl.

Do you roll at night, or can you roll in the morning and blow dry to speed up?

  • @carnivorouskitten Hmm.. I think I answered this question just five minutes ago under another video :p

  • Absolutely gorgeous,,You look like you walked right out of the 40's~~Love It !!!

  • how big are the rollers you're using? medium?

  • @foxtrottermeg Yes :)

  • cute

  • I just did this, and was not thinking and rolled them over instead of under. Will the outcome be ok or should i take them out?

  • @thecheatofcoolness Sorry for not answering sooner..! I'm thinking you've taken your rollers out by now.. *lol* I think it would be best to roll them under.. :) Rolling direction does matter.

  • You remind me of Rachel McAdams in the movie married life but her hair in that movie was a bit whiter than yours.

You should watch that movie if you haven't. It's a lovely movie! :]

  • @16courtneyriot Yeah! I love her hair in that movie.. <3

  • Will this work with a tad longer hair and naturaly thick curly/wavy hair?!? Also, could I use pillow rollers instead for this? I love this vid! Ginger Rogers hair is just darling, and you showed us how to make our hair just like hers! :D

  • @tangoredlucy If your hair is below the shoulders it will naturally fall in a different way because of the length.. You could use pillow rollers, then you'll avoid any denting as well! So that's definitely an advantage. I think of wavy and curly as two very different things.. I would say that you would have to prep your hair if it's super curly, since this style is really sleek and the crown needs to be flat.. :)

  • thankks for postingg these reall nice videos your veryy

    talentedd :)

    wass your hair wett;?

  • @vannadoll8 Thanks! :) My hair is never wet before I start styling (unless it needs to be for a fingerwave style or something..) I always start with dry hair and make it moist/damp as I go along.. section by section. If I do it with all wet hair it means a trip to crazy frizz city!

  • You seem like such a like-able, kind person. Thanks for the videos! They're really helpful and I love them.:)

  • I LOVE your videos. The exact styles I'd like yo try and very nice and clear. I have been struggling to style my hair but I think that's because it's too long and all different lengths! Time to chop some off and go for all one length. Can't wait. Thank you.

  • @Poniella81 I'm so glad you like my videoes :) One length can be good, but I do like layers! I don't have any and I'm going crazy.. Haha. It would be easier for me to do more styles with layers.

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour Hmm - I'm finding layers and length too tricky so am going to cut it tomorrow to one length and see how I get on. Have watched more of your videos now and they're really fantastic!

  • @Poniella81 Thanks! :)

You try out the one length, while I've just chopped my hair into the proper shape and gotten some layers. I'm saying chopped, since I did it myself.. Call me crazy, cause I probably am. Crazy and cheap, not taking the time and money to going to a hairdresser! Haha! Are you happy with your new style? :)

  • Hi, I've really enjoyed your videos! Thanks for taking the time to share them. I have a few questions. First, I have very thick hair and I don't think those pink rollers would work well in my hair, what do you think? Because I have very long thick hair, Second, where do you buy your flowers and how to you get them to stay put? Thanks again, very beautiful video, I'm excited to try them out!

  • @missginalou I wanna suggest that you check out ilovegerardo s channel here on YouTube. She's got some great styling options for long and thick hair. :) I think she can help you more than me..! ;) - Most of my flowers are from BelleBlossoms. com, and some of them I've had for a really, really long time.. Can't remember where I got them. - Thanks for liking my video :D

  • I notice that your hair flowers always lay nice and flat. I find the ones I buy from Claire's and Forever 21 are always bulky and you can see the clips. Where do you get yours?

  • I am seriously in LOVE with this 'do I wish I were able to do this one....My hair is way too long...I will find a way though.

  • love the hair tutorials, by the way im a new sub! =) i have used the sponge rollers when i was younger and i use to get made fun of cause my hair was soOoOo frizzy.... so i never used them anymore but now i see how you are suppose to do it! haha i think i'm gonna go for it again!

  • @TheChum1981 Yes, you've got to use that brush for what it's worth! :) Give it another go! I'm sure you'll do fine this time around!

  • Love the hairdo ;)

  • Good! :)

  • omg youre so beautiful!

  • *blushing*

  • Just subscribed, I just love your videos! (But I hate you because you're too beautiful, lol)

  • Haha, you're sweet :)

It makes me so happy that you like - err, love! - my videos :)

  • Just lovely, and your videos are very nicely done too!

  • Thanks doll!

  • Stunning hair :) and great tattoo. I've started using heated rollers and i'm still getting the hang of them.

  • Yay! I'm so happy you liked the hair! :) (and the tatoo, *giggle*) I have yet to get myself some hot rollers, since I usually want a tight curl. But I guess I'll have to try them eventually! :) Do you like using the hot rollers so far? :)

  • Nice hairstyle, horrible tatoo XD

  • Glad you liked the hairstyle :)
