Itachi was one of if not the most powerfull character in naruto.

He could easily kill pein with tukuyomi since genjutsu proved usefull against him.

Madara feared him because of the susanoo' and he could probabily kill him as well.

All the other characters that don't have an sharingan are useless against him.

Sasuke did not win.....Itachi let him win.

@zetrino I agree with you whole heartedly, the only reason Sasuke won is because Itachi already had an illiness that was killing him slowly anyway, he prolonged his life by taking meds. All for the sake of letting Sasuke be the 'hero' and kill him. I miss Itachi actually living in the series. He shouldn't have died, they should bring him back, and NOT when Kabuto resurects him. Know what I mean?
