"my kingdom" actually fits perfectly and if you know anything about Tobias while he has a knowledgable religious background he typically rides the fence swaying both ways and uses christian themes and references in many songs. "my kningdom" would be maybe a form of ego or selfish take on thy kingdom. Kinda a stsance that many metal bands take on it. Im not trying to argue just IMO. Tho "thy" is more accurate

It must be said, Vain Glory Opera's production wasn't the best, but that only spoils the performance slightly.

I grew up with Ultravox.

I take this on the terms it's intended, a fun & passionate cover song for a b-side,& it's awesome.

Yer critique is biassed & unjustified.

Sammett may have a similar range & vibrato to Dickinson, but their similarities end there.

& leave Drum Bunny alone:)

This version is Junk, junk..110% TOTAL junk....Where do I start? well the vocals sound terrible, they are over 'camp soulless and full of fake pomp, it's like Bruce Dickinson sung in broken English. Also the horrible double bassdrums just sound clichéd not only that but he also sings the wrong words, I canot explain in detail why this version should have been aborted, this trully is an insult to the memory of a classic. it's obvious that some of you need a musical education.

i have heard the lunatica version, but it does not seem powerful and raw enough for me. She does sing it well. I just think this kind of song needs the dirty production rather than the cleaner production. In fact.. I did not know this was a cover of a pop song. When i found the original I could not stand it. I strongly prefer lunatica and Edguys version to that of the original. The lyrics fit the style for this album IMO

Nothing against Ultravox, after all they wrote this amazing song. But Edguy perform it as if it had always been supposed to be metal. Very fitting for the song. Wonderful cover, and I actually prefer it to the original. Tobias Sammet has a great voice.
