They took up arms in defense. We also went in b/c it had int'l support, and was a situation we could help. This is not the case elsewhere (yet).
But I tore apart the "it is his country" argument, as well as the "lying rebels" assertion. All that is left is your judgement of why it's "fuk up." WHY? I'm not sure I understand what you're attempting to say. I'm hoping you're either foreign or 12. But if the US government was rocketing and machine-gunning protesters, I would become 'armed' pretty damn quick. And if we couldn't beat the government forces and were facing extermination, I'd be begging for foreign intervention to help even the odds. But the US doesn't handle its problems like that, and we have an elected government, and great men in our military who wouldn't do it.

I live here and its quite funny to watch all the dumbass foreigners stand outside the fence looking at the runway for hours just to watch US and NATO planes take-off. We went into Libya because Gaddafi was slaughtering demonstrators wholesale, not even hiding it. And killing far more of them. He was using tanks and jets to hit unarmed marches. They took up arms in defense. We also went in b/c it had int'l support, and was a situation we could help. This is not the case elsewhere (yet).

But if the US government was rocketing and machine-gunning protesters, I would become 'armed' pretty damn quick. And if we couldn't beat the government forces and were facing extermination, I'd be begging for foreign intervention to help even the odds. It's awful and I'd be behind efforts to cut the military aid to the Saudis and likely even the Bahrainis, Yemen is trickier. But what is your point, aside from being against our weapons deals? Folks, Did you all see this news today from the Pentagon? "Mar 29, 2011 - The US military has so far spent US$550 million on military action in Libya, says the Pentagon." This is in one week, & this is all borrowed money! Under Obama, the budget deficit (annual) and national debt (cummulative) have skyrocketed. It almost seems like he is actually trying to ruin the United States. Impeachment hearings need to start ASAP. By the way, he made a fool of himself yesterday in his national broadcast.
