Leave it to CA to write a touching, sweet and sentimental song about a woman who works as a phone sex worker. Cindy is one of those singer/songwriters who could sing about the dictionary and leave you emotionally touched by her song. She has a rare gift, one that more people should be aware of and exposed to.
This was the song that turned me on to her music...So much that I emailed her, and for several years we wrote back and forth...I finally got to meet her for the first time over a year ago when she played in Detroit. When she recognized me she ran acroos the room and jumped into my arms (She's tiny and I'm tall). I'll never forget that day and that show. Someday maybe the world will come to know how amazing she is.
I don't even know how I let this one slip away from me without rating it. Or leaving it a comment. 818 was the very first song that got me hooked on your music. But as I've gotten to know you a little more, your personality also plays a role =]
Love this Cindy, better now even when I dodn't hear it everyday like on the Crazy Star of Tomorrow Contest.Paul from Iowa-Wishes For a Great Trip to Japan for you !!!!
You guys have NO idea how lucky you are! This brilliant lady lives in the States & I'm stuck in Australia, with probably no chance of ever seeing her live. She won Star Tomorrow and NO ONE deserved it more! WTG,CINDY!!
This song is awesome. It is one of my favorites on her CD Smash. I really enjoy Cindy's music, especially her acoustic performance of this song on NBC's star tomorrow.
I love this song. One of my favorites on Smash. Cindy and her band are amazing live. Catch them if you can sometime. Audio over crappy computer speakers don't do her justice!
Yeah Cindy! I love this song and my friends that are coming to the show tonight are moving to the "818". I told them this song is the offical "Valley" song.
She will always be and remain one of my favorite artists :) The girl is pure ♥

I've been to many, many Cindy shows, spoken to her many times afterwards and before, and she is The Real Deal.
