19 inches??? then your head is HUGE! not knocking your machine, better than anything I've ever built, but it does seem a bit slow as far as the firewood processing machines go. Faster than anything I've seen in person though...
Slow? Thats a 19 " oak log. All the other videos are cuttin 9 to 12 inch stuff. Plus its birch or maple. This is Hardwood. For comparison the blade is 50 inches. This Machine produces almost three cords an hour. Thats not the fastest but it sure isn't slow. I have changed the log hold to a rolling device that lifts straight up and applies more pressure. I do not have to lift the hold up now. I just roll the log down the conveyor.
@603NHnative I have two saw blades. they replaceable tips. A guy retips it for $200. So I always have asharp blade. I can go through about 75 cords before I have to change blades.
@TheBlood2pay Osha can't say shit about what I do in my free time. This machine was designed and built by me and only for me. The wood that comes out of the back of it is donated to a local program in my county that gives wood to elderly and economically disadvanted people. so you and osha can suck it
