I loved Ashley. She did this song great! I even liked it better than the original. However, her Sir Duke performance wasn't as good and I think that's why she went. It was a bad song choice unfortunately. I think she has great potential. My favourite of the season was Suzi. I don't think you can compare them because Suzi is a rock singer and they are both totally different. But Ashley definitely should've stayed longer than a lot of the other season 3 Canadian Idol contestants.
Is she won season 3 i guarantee you that Eva Avila wouldnt have won season 4 just because people would make comparisons, and Brian Melo wouldnt of won season 5 beacuse they are both portiguise
Don't agree with that at ALL. Her voice comes across strong in this song, but she is nowhere near as consistent or rangy as Eva. Eva is one of the best vocalists the show has ever had (IMHO she was a better singer than both the winner and runner up of American Idol 2006).
In regards to hobofied... I think this performance proves that she definitely could be a star. She had a stage presence that none of the others in the Top 10 except for maybe Aaron could match. I loved Melissa too, but she was a poorer version of Ashley and was really enabled to win when Ashley was booted.
I love her! I loved like the whole top 10 that season, but still. She was definetly robbed! I can't believe she got 9th place she should have gotten like 4th. I can't believe she left before Amber! *barfs*
Yes, she should have gone much farther, there's always a good one that is let go, Ashley is one of them. I can vouch for that as I have had the pleasure of knowing Ashley, and she is a great girl to boot!
Her elimination reminds me of Pia's from American Idol. Both shocking in 9th. Both amazing.
