My two favorite Texas songwriters--too bad the marriage didn't work out--they're beautiful together. Both Poet Laureates. When Eric finally recorded this song, he recorded it with Denice Franke, a totally underrecognized singer, and his voice has grown so rich and deep. If you ever have a chance to see Eric live, he is pure magic to watch. He can get depth out of his guitar and voice like no other artist.
and 2003 "The Kerrville Tapes." Most of the songs on "The Kerrville Tapes" are songs from "Resurrect," which this song was recorded on. His self-titled cd is a masterpiece, so I would get "Resurrect" and "Eric Taylor" instead of "The Kerrville Tapes."
My favorite ET song too! Heard it years ago on this show, and have it recorded on video. Love Nanci's comment on marriage too! She's the best!
