i think this is a bit overcomplicated. there are carbon fiber hoods in the game and close up, you just see a pattern of two different colored squares

@JohntheBaxter Carbon fibre is woven. It looks like a tight weave crocheted thread but, with gloss (generally, due to the resin) and hard edges on each fibre (depending on construction).

I use a race flag, but deform it to be the "weave" pattern seen in CF. put it on as the darkest gray you can find on a black background.

carbon fiber is a lightweight material used by street racers and serious racers as well as well as the military...its a durable lightweight material that helps cars or in the miltary's case airplanes move quicker and faster and run more efficent (spelling lol) since its lighter

which is prolly for the best since if u do it this way u can make carbon fiber vinyls if u try hard enough

when i carbon fiber i do the same thing just make it black make x=xx and y=xx.x on size and then skew it xx degrees and then stanp it, my gt is jman the 2nd if you want any done... ill do it but for a price depending on how much of the car needs done.
