Deathproof is my least favorite Q.T. movie. Its not bad (none of his films are) but its fairly forgettable. The hot chicks in it help a lot. Jackie Brown is a better movie than Deathproof.
i decided to click on this video to hear the song, then i realize it's from a movie. the movie looks really awesome and i want to watch it now but this vid sort of ruined it already =[
@RubiHeart02 Oh, no! I promise you that this video WILL NOT ruin the film for you. In fact, this is sort of like an amazing fan made trailer for Death Proof. As a HUGE fan of this film and as someone whom has watched it about a gazillion times, I find it to be one of those great types of films that never really gets old. I grew to love it more after the third time I watched it. Great acting, fun scenes, gore, fantastic music and very authentic to what Tarantino was paying homage.
damn :09-:11 reminds me of this white girl that i fucked just like that , and she has a big ass, i love white girls with big asses, oh and her name was christine allen
@thadreazie I haven't been the biggest fan of Tarantino's films. I first watched Pulp Fiction when I was a teen. I thought to myself, "this is self-indulgent, monotonous drivel with lazy script writing as evidenced by excessive foul language." I still don't enjoy PF, though I have grown to respect it. However, I am hard-core fan of the Horror/70's exploitation, so I HAD to see this. It has now become one of my top 10 fav films. If you haven't viewed it, give it a chance, as you may enjoy it. =)
@iamcasihart seen it. The stunt driving, car crashes, cute girls, etc are pretty entertaining. The suspenseful / dramatic scenes really ran long on time, little on content. It's worth seeing, but not a contender.
@thadreazie I enjoy how it pays homage to those low-budget, classics at Drive-In Theaters from the 70's exploitation era. As a child of the 80s, I missed out on the whole drive-in experience. I dig some of the music featured & 3 of my fav actresses are featured. The first car crash scene is brilliant & over the top. I've liked Kurt Russell since "Big Trouble in Little China," so it's great to see him in a sinister role. It is also fun to see beautiful women kick some ass. All in good fun. ;-)
@iamcasihart I think I prefer Robert Rodriguez... he does so much more with action where Tarrantino does all this unnecessarily chatty time wasting. I mean, if it's supposed to be exploitation cinema, then for god's sake, let's exploit some people and appeal to the least common denominator. I think Tarrantino is just trying to make the movies more easily and cheaply so he can go off and do some blow. Then, when he's on the blow, he has these pseudo intellectual delusions of grandeur
@thadreazie I agree.I thought I would like "Death Proof" more but felt what cheated. You wrote exactly how I feel about Q.T. Funny considering I thought I wouldn't like "Planet Terror" .More zombies... I didn't like it,I loved it & how he incorporates people he finds interesting in2 the film or how he used people's talents(Rose's dancing,Marley's flexible hand etc.I even liked R.R.'s extras.
@wolf363 you know what i am gonna have to agree with your comment....cuz remember in Kill Bill when she was in the pussy wagon after she got out of the hospital and she was trying to make her toes move...
Awesome song btw.. long time on my ipod already, awesome movie!!!! and that clip I was needed to the clip - party - collection to put that on the big scream - you rocks mate . thanks
Well in the restraurant you can tell that the stuntgirls are used to that kind of thrills, Aby doesn't but she's daring and eager for that kind of hype...and of course the cheerleader who could be the perfect victim is used to date weird guys, so she might be having a better time that we thought with the guy she's been left.

@Rachulie As for the "in a fire", well, not everyone is born in America, sorry. Getting back to the point-that's what Tarantino is about, brilliant dialogues about life. The fact that it was the action moments you enjoyed the most proves that it's not the director for you.
@Rachulie I work in a New Zealander company here in MExico and the joke of Aussies and Kiwis it's funny since they all are "gringos" to us. lol.
About the movie...it makes more sense when you watch it for a second time. The dialogues are actually telling us about their personality and if you pay attention to their chat, you might figure out what happened to the cheerleader. Of course, it could’ve have some more action or suspense throughout the movie.
@Caprizonica ive seen it a couple of times. it tells us about their personality? i could give a shit lmao. i dont care about them and their boring life. the action is better
@Rachulie Tarantino is all about the dialogues, that's what makes his movies stand out far above movies like beverly hills cop, lethal weapon and die hard. if you want more action, I suggest you watch those movies.
as an example of the power of Tarantino's dialogues, consider Inglourious Basterds. after the long dialogue in the farmhouse at the beginning, the viewer is almost thinking "wow, that nazi makes a really good point. no, wait. he's a nazi. that can't be right? or can it?"
@fgrzejszczyk But see using his car to smash into and kill the women is kinda his way of fucking them. Some guys go to bars to meet women in hopes that they'll get lucky, Stunt Man Mike stalks his women out on the open road. that's how he gets off.
@fgrzejszczyk if you saw the movie you would know why, the two people walking down the hall at 0:24 described in perfect detail what is going down and why, they said in part that to him the adrenaline rush he got was like sex
@Jewl122 True enough, but we really didn't get a chance to know what the first set were capable of. If Stuntman Mike had opted for the same sort of strategy with the second group, as he had with the first, they would have ended up just as dead.

One of my favorite parts of this movie is when they thought Zoe had died but then she jumped up and said "I'm ok!" and then they drove after him and Zoe jumped out the car to bust in his window and beat his ass with that pole, I love her, love that scene, I love that movie!
death proof has some of the same characters in planet terror. and in planet terror the dude on the radio was playing a song in memeory of jungle julia

typical tarrantino movie (no particular order of scenes):
1: bunch of scenes where people talk shit for no reason
2: Quentin Tarrantino is in a scene
3: black people acting obnoxious for no reason
4: one really memorable scene everyone will talk about for four years
5: bad editing is bad... ba... bad... bad editing is bad
6: hipster music you can listen to and pretend to be smart / cool
