If Freddie Mercury had piercing and tattoos and was Canadian he'd be Jacob Hoggard. He's way too talented for punk/emo rock. Hedley isn't like any other band out there. They're like the theatrical/glam rock groups of the 1970s, but there's nothing cheesy about them. Hoggard is a fearless lead singer who will do anything to entertain. Most bands in this genre sound like whiny teenagers (I can't tell you how I hate that shit). Hoggard elevates average music with brilliant theatrics.
