This isn't a tutorial, as well as being a terrible way to get melons. In this device you wait for every melon to grow, where you should just have a timer so that every 5 or so minutes, it destroys them.

You can change the biome without spc. Just download NBTedit, open your level.dat and change the generatorNAME from DEFAULT to FLAT. Then save it and have fun. :) Thumbs up, so everybody can see it.
