Well now I feel guilty after watching this. My cats are indoor cats and they live in a very small apartment with me and my family. They're always getting bored and when cats are bored, they tend to want to eat, which is making it harder to keep my cats on diets. I swear, once my mom is off disability and gets a new home, I'm going to make sure that it's a cats' paradise! Carpeting all over the floors, built our own cat towers, and have good views of juicy birds to watch fly by :D

Another way to help them get use to changes is when you know you plan to move, rearrange your furniture about once or twice a month, if your floor plan lets you. Once they get use to regular changes but the smells stay the same, then moving into another place won't be so traumatic to them. Cats adapt rather quickly anyway, once they know where everything is.

My 2 boys moved across the ocean with me. It took a week for the shy one to come out of the closet. The bold one was fine within a few days. Amazing how adaptable they are.

The were in the pet section of the airplane for the 12 hour flight and then had a taxi ride.

it was a much harder move for my cat. he was only a few days old when we found him outside our apartment and we just thought he was clumsy but shortly before our move to a new house we realized that hes mostly blind in both eyes...he likes the backyard but he has almost knocked himself unconscious twice now from running into walls :( its hard and scary for him
