GO CCG AUXILIARY!!! Currently taking the Crew Level Training course on Tuesdays and weekends with my local CCGA unit 10 in Richmond, BC. Can't wait to start answering SAR calls when I'm done with CLTC!!!!
Easy. You just need to go to a Tuesday night meeting at the unit boathouse near the Richmond Yacht Club's entrance at River Road. They hold their spring and summer month meetings at the boathouse. During the winter months, they hold it at a different, indoor venue such as the Steveston Community Centre- it changes each year.
It is good volunteer work- I worked for the CCGA's Unit 10 for about a year before I had to go inactive since I was going to graduate school.
@CplCentaur wow thank you so much, this is the most useful information i got so far about this. i also got in contact with somebody else named john and he told me they have Tuesday night meetings at South Arm Community Centre. is that the same thing? do u know if they might have moved from the boathouse?
That was John Uruqhart- the unit leader you probably met. He is probably right. I remember meeting there last summer. They mostly met at the boathouse for weekend or night training on the boats or during other meetings, if I can recall correctly.
Unit 10 Richmond's website is ccga10.org. Read up and click on the Contact Us if you are interested in joining the unit.
