@MultiAidan1 I'm pretty sure it is. Like Parallels, it will slow down your computer a bit while using it, but you should be fine. Good luck (Spent the past few hours [in between finals] Install Windows 8, Ubuntu, and Chrome OS, then uninstalling Windows 8 and installing Windows 7, then uninstalling Ubuntu and Chrome OS) The reasonI have been doing so Is i like to test my websites and a variety of browsers to make sure they look good. So far everything has been working out great for me.

I've got a quad-core, too, but it seems to really struggle with 4GB, when I'm running other programs in the background. @hacks1001 Don't use parallels then. Just partition your hard drive and dual boot for full performance...Only thing would be that you would have to restart your comp every time you want to switch between OS's...it doesn't take long though. I don't see why you would spend 80 dollars on top of hundred or so the actual Windows 7 or 8 costs, just to buy Parallels...I would imagine that you would use alot more CPU running both OS's at the same time = inefficiency...

its not that related but you can migrate existing pc installation to mac? like i would get a functional copy of my old system? that would be great and good for switchers

@onraj9mm With Parallels I believe you can. You can also migrate your files and so on from a PC to your Mac when you set it up in Lion, so it'll move all your music and videos and whatever to your new system. Obviously you won't have any of your applications moved over because they won't work on OSX lol. Parallels will actually move your Windows install to your Mac though as far as I know. I've never done it, so not 100% sure, but that's what the option seems to suggest.

@countryrunboyz No. You should never use a BETA OS as your primary system. It isn't even BETA yet, it's a developer preview, so it's before the BETA stage. When it hits the RTM stage it'll be fine to use as your main OS, but before then I really don't recommend it. You're better off upgrading to Windows 7.

@pivoteer971 64 bit basically just utilizes more ram. the limit for 32 bit is 4 gb's, so if you have more then 4 gb's of ram, 64 bit can support it. that's it.

you can also do the installation differently, were it says that it failed with auto deducting your windows you won't have windows 8 there to choose from, but you can just choose other windows and then you install it like you would windows 7 or whatever windows using parallels.

BTW Parallels tools can't be installed on that crap, if you install it you are gonna miss your windows 8 coz drivers won't work, and virtual video card is gonna stop working, try VMware fusion 4, It works perfect ;)

the reason why the resolution is above is because it's 1440 x 900 and the one you thought it would be under was 1400 x 1050 and since 1440 is higher/bigger then 1400 it makes sense for it to be above.
