  • before you cut down the new ones you better find out what you are talking out. I have ran 1998,2001,2003,2005,2006, and 2011. The new ones will bow the doors off the old ones power wise. The 2011 will get less fuel mpg though, and all are stock. We tag them at 40,000.00. I run them all the time

  • @okleftovers

I did not say anything bad about the new ones. I said the people I know with new ones are disapointed .. not good not bad just statement of their experience

  • only in america

  • nice to see a truck put to work now days

  • my 87 tacoma pulls more then that daley

  • @bottzxI32 it has maybe pulled that much over its life time

  • those were the last good cummins made right? the 02 and up arent as good as the old ones?

  • @xforce687

i think the 5.9 go to 07 in common rail versions. I have heard a lot of good things about them. the one i have heard people being disapointed are the 6.7

  • @drkllr Yeah, someone told me that the older models before they introduced the full quad cab, that they took a lot of oil, and with all the econuts out there, they decided to take that oil out making it less powerfull or something.

  • @drkllr i run a 08 6.7 cummins and im very disappointed it it lacks in all fields dodge is known for and it is always braking down maintained i miss my 24 v cummins. my stock 24v could pull more then this 6.7 with the exhast filter that the bully dog clogs up every thousand miles><

  • @gsniperman4

got to love the 24v's My heart is stuck on the 12v's

  • Just for the record after seeing a few comments. I dont wish to misslead. This video was taken with truck in 2wd in first gear. There seemed to be a question about that out there.

  • on our dairy farm we got a tri axle 40 footer goose and we stack 2 on top like u do, and we pull it with our 03 cummins 6 speed, man nothing like it. pulls it like a dream! CUMMINS power boys! p.s. nice to see someone actually putting one to work!

  • @yeahbuddy14mm

its my life saving work horse. I have enjoyed this truck so much i got a second one and plan on working it just as much

  • @ farmerbrightwell - are you talking bout round or square bales? Not trying to be a troll but surely u mean square. Trust me hook up to the load this guy is pulling and u wouldn't think twice about dropping it in 4 low. Especially off pavement.

  • Damn thing sounds like a tractor. What kind of exhaust you got on it?

  • @wvredneck59

    mbrp 4"

  • I just wish they would put a 8 cylinder one in these dodges, getting tired of the duramax and powerstrokes beating this proving 6 cylinder.

Also glad to see a big truck being USED. I'm sick of these small penis' getting big trucks and not doing shit with them. I would love to have one but I dont need it. So i'll stick to my lil' v8 dakota(should have got full size for same mpg lmao)

  • i drove a 12v 91 cummins during the summer hauling straw and it would pull 130 bales if it wasnt in 4 wheel drive whats the reaoning for that

  • AWW THAT SOUNDDDDDDD

  • I absolutely beat the hell out of my 96 2wd ext cab. I put 234k thousand on her and she broke the 4 auto transmission. I had an ATS stage 4 that was older without the hardened input shaft and she would have still been going had I not cheaped out on that 7 years ago. But I couldn't see dumping 7500 in her for a suncoast trans so I bought a dirtymax, great truck rides way better but doesn't get near the mileage the dodge did

  • I remember back in the 90's my dad used to haul his gooseneck loaded down with hay exactly like that with his old 7.3, nothin like a field full of hay

  • Now I want to see a Powerstroke or Dramax fail at this

  • @jeffchadrick dont hold your breath

  • @jeffchadrick you better not hold your breath then

  • I think half way through the video you can hear the truck go "really, is that all? Come on give me a challenge!"

  • nice too see you putting 1300 to 1500 pound bales on there just to over load the trailer by what is that 9 thousand pounds im stating that a tandem with duals mostikely running 10 k axels, haha im a farmer and thats how its done haha, most definatley how it is done!

  • @graderoperator15

I special ordered the trailer 15k dexters It was originally to move the bulldozer

  • Those are HUGE hay bails.. haha

  • great truck for the job!

  • It's really nice to see one actually getting used. I was starting to think that all people did with diesel trucks was blow smoke at people! I swear, diesels have become the new ricers.

  • @caniwitech

yeah i dont mind a little smoke but if she is smokin she better be pullin way more than it should

  • @caniwitech seriously.. hell my truck smokes but only when i want it to. i never got why somebody would wanna blow smoke at people thats just plain stupid

  • been there hauled that many times with my 05 cummins. weighed one load of soybean hay that grossed just over 38,000 lbs

  • @farmmo4ever

got to love those cummins I think it would do it since it did not strugle with this load I am building a 96 with manual andit will have towing twins I am sure it would pull that kind of load

  • not even in low! nice.

  • Your dually hardly even squated! I figured you never made it to the public roads when I noticed a lack of tiedowns on the bales

  • @katana1150

lol yep it gets alot of tie downs for the road

  • Look at a goerend for my 96 cummins just curious what all you upgraded when you had it built?

  • @Miotch09

triple disc converter ultra low stall all the upgraded shafts and what big clutches they offer make sure you have a egt guage your engine will work harder after the install closest thing to a manual. If you call they will walk through what you are going to be doing with truck and custom build for your use

  • i got a 96 n been on the highway with 20 bales before of course ive got farm tags on the truck and the trailer n never been stopped

  • @rdnkrfnk

got the farm tags just have not been out with that much never can tell when yu might meet a very picky d o t officer

  • @drkllr i live in tx n they dont bother ya here with farm tags as long as ya aint a hot shot rig

  • @drkllr an orange triangle makes you exempt from all of that in nc as far as weight goes

  • @swampdonky750

we have pretty loose farm exemptions but we still hear those stories of people that get stoped anyway

  • that is "31200 tons"?

  • @v8power200

lbs not tons its only 15.6 tons

  • I was just reading bout Goerend on the Cummins Forum, either Goerend or Suncoast FTW!

  • @CumminsFanatic57

never tried the suncoast but i can speak of my goerend. This transmision doubled the ability of the truck

  • @drkllr I believe that, may I ask how much Your trannys was?

  • @CumminsFanatic57

just under 5 worth every penny

  • The d.o.t. must love ya lol

  • @f350powerstroke

lol Like the original discription say this load never made it to the road. just field to barn. I can only imagine what they would say if i rolled out on the highway.

  • oh how i love that sound!

  • It's like a tractor that you can drive on the highway (and still get 20 MPG). 12 valves! Woohoo!

  • Is the dodge a manual or an automatic?

  • @pkomisar1982 It is a dave Goerend auto best money i spent on the tuck

  • looks heavy , when the 3500 1 ton sinks in you no shes got a good load on

  • @TheBlackSmokecummins

it is squating like that and it has helper springs im really happy with the way it tows now its like buying a new truck without the payments

  • Damn those rear leafs must have been close to being fuckin inverted!

  • bah my ecoboost could do that without a sweat.. lmfao jk.. thats a ballsy truck

  • Now that's a truck y'all!

  • 1000 lbs bales anymore are kind of lite these days.

  • if a 3500 squats... you know it heavy! haha

  • our baler makes 2000lb bales

  • No way in hell are those bales a thousand pounds!!!!

  • @neelysfarm

we have put them on the scale they went from 990 to 1020 out of the field and they were checked three months later leaving on semi and the load averaged over 900 each tested out of the field 11% moisture . we love john deere equipment but that new holland 7070 baler sure does roll them tight

  • @drkllr i believe it, i use my 02 to pull just a little under that. Those cummins give em hell lol

  • @neelysfarm they honestly do, there compacted so much.

  • @neelysfarm obviously you dont know anything about round bales

  • @neelysfarm yes way

  • @neelysfarm what kind of baler you using? Maybe no way with an older chain baler, but like drkllr said new holland balers get them tighter than a nun.

  • i chained the trailer to the corolla couldnt move the trailer sorry my toyota let me down

  • my toyota would do that

  • @chevyredneck33 lol one of those bales are bigger than your p.o.s toyota

  • @MxRider710 my yota is BURLY!!!

  • You need 5.12 gearing lol

  • @elitecssplayer its got 3:54 now it might could use 4:10 but 5:12 woo thats tall lol

  • @drkllr you mean low lol

  • nice
