Torrents are files that help people share other files. A keygen is short for "key generator" which means a program that genreates serial keys for programs. When you say "I used a keygen, not a torrent." you were most likely talking a bout a crack, which are far superior to keygens.

Keygens almost never work unless you get a legit one and even if you do they are full of backdoors.

I really like your review, but come on man, your a bit bias towards 8. You brush over so many important changes and additions. 9 is better, your main argument was the UI colours. That, as you know you adjust to and i bet over time you will much prefer the contrast diff. in the active and not active icons. But, if you stop being stubborn ;) your reviews are really good, very informative and great real time comparisons and demonstrations. Keep it up.

by doing this

When you have Vegas open, click the options tab, at the top.

PREFERENCES, DISPLAY Tab. Near the bottom, you should see a box that says "Use Vegas color scheme" Un-check that box, Click APPLY.

Restart Vegas, and It should turn white instead of Gray.

First, you can change the look of the Sony Vegas Pro 9 to standard Pro 8.

Options ->preferences ->Display and uncheck the checkbox "Use Vegas color scheme" and restart the app.

Second, Sony Vegas Pro 9 comes in 64bit that makes rendering faster and also can use more memory 4GiB+ (i think that there was an update in pro 8 to 64bit but the plugins didnt?)

Of course. You can download/buy x64 or x86 version. But if you have x86 OS you cannot have x64 version of the program.

BUT if you have x64 OS you can have x86 version of Vegas.

Also not all plugins support the x64 so you may have to download new versions of them if there are any.

IMO, Sony Vegas 9 Movie Studio Platinum Edition is better than both Sony Pro versions.

I have used all three and I stayed with Platinum Edition. There is no real difference other than how it starts, 9 PE actually has a structured video time line which makes sense.

thats pretty gay that you dont like the high contrasted areas for showing what items you have selected. Do you like not knowing what the fuck your clicking on or something? darker coloring is better and easier on the eyes, especially if your up late at night working and your eyes are tired.

and yeah u can turn the colour to whatever u like, black or the standart(sony vegas 8)...sony vegas 9 is way better than 8...faster rendering...supports the new processors much...it rly uses all 4 cores if you're using Quad core or i7. i like ur turtorials and all. but i disagree...vegas 9 pro is better. u don't like changes as i see hehe but that's normal, many ppl are that way :P
