Wait, this is a video about the origin of religion? Are you serious?? And is it just me, or is this video just implying that Jesus is actually Satan, cause that's what it looks like. I was thinking of using this for my dissertation - until I actually started watching it! *sigh* I understand faith and all, but there comes a point when you need to "open your eyes" and see that stuff like this ridiculous and is one of the many reasons human kind is so f**cked up!
@HiloPicolo123 This vid is pointing out that the ones making/using depictions of Him(mainly the R.C. Church) are not christian. That they that do this use the same symbolism that other worldreligions are using. The Bible warnes us for those that use these kinds of symbolism. What ís your take on what is wrong with this world?
@EdjeBos All right, first off. That made no sense. Second. Faith does not mean trust. Trust is based upon historical finding, while faith is a supposition to fill in holes while searching for a useful relationship. Third. Diamonds are made from carbon, just like graphite. The difference?... well, you seem to be the geology expert all of a sudden, so why don't you tell us?
@1allstarman Wow, man. Did you really list seashells on mountain tops as proof of a world wide flood? Ya know, by your logic (I use that word loosely) those fossils that are found on the tops of mountains would mean that your great flood happened MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO... how old is the Earth according to the bible? Like 5,000 years old? BTW the only blind following going on here is you blindly following what the "Good Book" says. Blindly following is the definition of faith.
@CoffinHammer1 Faith means trust. Is trust always blind? According to your logic (word used loosely) it is. If mountains formed in days/months, nobody needs millions of years. Did you know every diamond in the world contains c-14? That means..... what?
@EdjeBos You sir, are an idiot. I'm a religious scholar, historian and philosopher, and I can tell you, from the very ground you are going out, you are only stabbing yourself. This is ridiculous and an insult to science. Jesus was, according to much research, one of the following: A) A Jewish reformer. B) A great thinker and possible mystic. C) A Zoroastrian reformer (My own research tells me C is correct). The Mark Of The Beast is worn on forehead and hand, these are the TEFILLIM of the JEWS!
@brahmasWorld Artemis, Horus, the sun, the obelisk, Lucifer (means Lightbearer = statue of Liberty), etc. All symbolic to one entity that is neither male nor female, an angelic being also known as Satan.
@signsoftwentytwelve Yeah, AnonymousTruther has it posted under 'Saturnial Cult'. But imo it says more on the common heritage of the major religions of the world. That's what I got from it anyway, so I thought I'd post it under a name that reflects that so it may attract others wondering on this topic. But it's good, eh? Don't know who this 'xjohn' is, but I owe him a lot. This really was a big push in the right directionfor me and I hope for others as well. God bless!
@VideoDracula You are so full of bs, my friend.. They found one piece of an old manuscript that says that. It was written in Latin. John wrote in Greek. Some Romans then believed '666' as was written in the original, was the number of Emperor Nero. In Greek, his name adds up to 666. But in Latin, the language of Rome then, it's 616, hence the distortion. One piece. Not 'all' by a long shot.
@VideoDracula You´re right, he wasn´t. As I said, they were the believes of SOME Romans back then. Not the intention of the writer. And as I´ve said, it is one piece of manuscript. All others stick to the original Greek, wich is 666.
@EdjeBos Right. Also, Saturday was named in the 2nd century, well after the Sumerians, and the three Abrahamic religions, via their original languages, regard Saturday as the seventh day of the week (Judaism via Hebrew, Christianity via Ecclesiastical Latin, and Islam via Arabic).
Because during the time when religions came to be, they were sending satellites into space to take pictures of Saturn. They didn't even have TELESCOPES back in those days. No one even knew Saturn had rings until 1610, approximately 1500 years after the birth of Christianity, let alone observed the faint hexagon on the north pole.
@VideoDracula So the Sumerians just coincedentally combined Saturn with the hexagon? Had knowledge of the asteroidbelt? How do you KNOW they didn't have telescopes back then? They were able to see the dick of a very small spider back then, so why not have telescopes? Same principle, don't you agree? During the times 'the religions came to be'.. What religions came to be in what time, o allknowing one? Your 'epic' display of non-thinking has not failed, that's for sure..
They wouldn't need telescopes to see the hexagon though. You're totally missing the point. Even if they had telescope they couldn't have seen the hexagon.
The ONLY way to see the hexagon is from space. A satellite had to go into space and take pictures.
And I'm pretty sure they didn't have rocket technology or if cameras in the time of the Sumerians. Unless you have proof of this?
@VideoDracula There are more possibilities, but you probably don't believe in the Biblical Flood-account, nor in the spiritual side of man, so explaining that is pointless. But I also don't believe they were capable of spaceflight.
@EdjeBos No. There are no other possibilities except a manned spacecraft or a telescopic satellite.
I do not believe in the flood-account. Is there was a flood, there would be evidence in the layers of rock. There is no evidence. It simply did not happen.
They weren't capable of space flight otherwise we would find ancient nuclear reactors and space-station bases in the desert.
@VideoDracula there is evidence of a flood(s), there are seashells on the tops of the tallest mountains!there is the grand canyon.not to mention, storied accounts from almost every ancient civilisation ! the religion of science, is doing all it can to block the truth , the evidence of a God creator !
@1allstarman The Grand Canyon, like every other chasm in the world, was formed over the period of thousands, if not millions of years by water and wind erosion. You do understand this is a proven and demonstrable fact right?
I hope you also realize that mountain ranges are formed by the rising of tectonic plates from (yup, you guessed it) the SEA FLOOR. Some mountain tops started at the see floor.
So, evidence of a flood? I'll wait here till you have some :)
@VideoDracula yo drac , you still believin what they told you in grade school?if the grand canyon was eroded over millions of years , there should be a sediment laden delta ! according to "science" the mountains were formed long before there was life in the seas . your "science" is no more than a religion you blindly follow!
@1allstarman Science is a religion? Sure you're not getting confused with crackpot Scientology? Science is the method of gaining knowledge through observation, evidence and repeatability, and it seems to have worked pretty well seeing as you are totally relying on it every day to survive. Food, shelter, health, transport. pretty much everything have come about directly from science.
Observation: A large chasm with a river running through
Evidence: Water cuts through rock, we know this to be fact, erosion is a natural process.
Repeatability: Simulations that show exactly how the canyon would have formed. The fact that there are hundreds of thousands of other chasms formed in the exact same way (which come from TOTALLY different time periods, some ancient, (older that the grand canyon) and some very recent (not caused by your flood).

Oh! And I forgot to say.
616 is the actual number of the beast, according to the earlier Christian manuscripts.

@VideoDracula Earlier doesn't necessarily mean more reliable, bud.

@EdjeBos I'll reword that then.

@EdjeBos Yes, 666 is the code of Nero.
Nero was a Emperor, as you said. Not the 'devil' or the 'beast'.
In regards to the devil/beast, it's number is 616. This is fact.
