  • без хорошей резины любой джип говно!!!

  • Wrong tires? it like bring a spoon to gunfight

  • Driver is lol

  • Wait for the reflux!

  • not too many factory suvs would have taken that shit, get real

  • #1, that thing belongs on pavement. #2, so dose the driver.

  • Good job, 20 people standing around saying how they'd do a better job....push you idiots PUSH

  • trun off the traction control

  • some ppl should stay on the road

  • This is what happens when you take a 4WD shopping trolley to the bush.

  • @way2hectic All about the tires.

  • uwaga tam na zderzak....aaaaaahahahaha barany!!!!

  • shoulda snubbed the breaks a bit to help with the open diff problem... or better yet.. get a decent set of limited slips put in.

  • Why do all those people just stand there??? you cant get it out with one person if everyone was pushing that would of been out in a hot minute

  • dude must have stopped in the mud... a little speed behind it and that forester would have shit all over that mud pit...

  • difflock would solve this problem but subaru does not have it ......

  • turn the steeting wheel atleast.

  • @satansgavin Of course he should use the steering wheel, but he doesn't seem to get it!!! If you steer a little bit, then you could have a little bit of traction havind energy and sending the Forester in another direction. ...... Dah!

  • jimisdope is dum. thats exactly wher they belong, i know. i fukkin do it, and i cant explain how this guy got stuck so easy, prolly just really slick mud. but no, forester beling rite where he is

  • well they do becuz i do it, it werks better with mud tires and a turbo. which is what many people do. its not that difficult of a concept

  • learn to drive a subaru... the situation of the video is easy

  • I would have agreed initially but the styling of the Xtrail does grow on you. The Forester is a bit more "feminine" and even the Subaru sales people are all women (at least near here), whereas the Xtrail has male sales people (not very good ones either).

For around town the T may be better, but the XTrail is definitely better for off-road.

  • the older foresters are better for offroading. i had an impreza 1.8 gl with tiny little road tires and i went across a field that was just like a swamp and i boged right dwn, so my dads mate came in his Mitsubishi warrior and got stuck at the fkin gate lmao

  • I just had a look at the specs on the current turbo Forrester and it doesn't mention a diff lock.

It's not just the Xtrail's diff lock that makes a big difference. If any wheel starts to spin the active braking slows it and sends power to the opposite wheel.

Even without special tires, the Xtrail is quite amazing.

  • even so id rather had a forester anyday, one there much better lookin, have a better engine and sound better.

  • i love how people touch the car like that will do anything

  • A very useful video. It helped me decide not to buy a Forester and to get a Nissan X-Trail instead. I've had it out in the bush through mud, deep water holes and very rough tracks. The diff lock together with the active 4 wheel limited slip braking is fantastic. It makes the roughest conditions feel like bitumen. The only reason I'd go to a bigger 4WD is ground clearance.

  • like an x trail wud ge tthrough that, this has standard road tires on it. with so good ofroad wheels and tires it wud of gone thorugh no prob, subaru have one of the best 4x4 systems in the world

  • I used to be a scooby fan too ... until I bought my X-Trail ... there is no comparison of their 4WD abilities ... the X-Trail is far superior with its diff lock and active anti slip braking (ie while driving). I've been through mud just like that in my XTrail ... no problems !

  • well the turbo versions have lockin diffs if u get a good one, but trust me with the right tires it will go anywhere. even my old impreza was good offroad

  • OK, thanks all for comments, I really had no idea what to do, probably would do better now. I'll keep you informed about my future f***-ups!!!

  • lol subaru need locked diffs and better tires this is hopeless as a 4wd

  • Jimny moze by sobie poradzil z jego umietnosciami ....

  • the driver sucks I've been in worse situations with my forester and I got out easily every time.

  • 5029, maybe I suck, but you don't know what was underwater....

  • dont worry about it as its how we all learn to be better at this stuff.

  • mate learn how to drive a quad bike

  • LOL...My Forester been in situations like that I am yet to be stuck. In fact I have driven up slippery slopes with less power than my friend 4X4 off roader. My Forester has LSD tho. Whenever I lose traction I just press the snowflake button for slippery sufaces and continue on my way.

  • thats why you dont drive slow through the mud, just like sand. slow=stuck you lacked momentum i learned that on the beach lol

  • some volvo's have AWD as well. XC70 i believe, the cross country does

  • @wounsel not near as good awd imo

  • Its not an OFFROADER serves him right for taking it were it cant go ! Its a Softroader only good for getting off a flat wet field LMAO

  • Great car, inexperienced driver.

  • I second that, awesome car driver just has no idea!!

  • GREAT CAR!!! The driver has no idea!

Excelente carro (jejej yo tengo uno) el que maneja no tiene idea

  • damn biglandfarm thats really mature saying that i suck for telling the truth about a car that sucks that just makes me laugh oh well thats just youre opinion ;)

  • NO U SUCK

  • @Volvo89 - better than volvo's awd i bet. i could get through there with ease in my impreza or outback.

  • Why you put a car with no off-road capabilities into mud? Forrester got no tires (no standard 4x4 got it), no ground clearence, no wheel travel, and it's engine and electronic systems are extremely vulnerable to water.

  • Hahaha at 2:08 is a crack up

  • If you want traction off-road, most cars and SUV's don't have "real" off-road tires. You will need to buy some.

Also, there was a lot of wheelspin on the wheels not touching the ground, if it doesn't have it already, installing a limited slip differential (LSD) or locking differentials will help reduce or completely eliminate that annoying wheelspin.....

  • the sport model-trims have the viscous-type rear LSD. but he really needed better tires and maneuvering. his vehicle is well-capable.

    _taF

  • It doesn't look like he has LSD.... Tires are OK. Driver needs more lessons. Read Subaru manual. They have plenty of good pointers in there. Get a Land-Rover or a Jeep if you want to just push gas-pedal and brake.

  • It certainly looks like no LSD and the automatic power distribution front-rear looks very poor. So much for AWD vs 4WD !!

  • Not really an AWD vs. 4WD thing. The automatic Foresters decide their distribution. The manuals are typically close to 50-50.

  • At a couple of points in the video one of the front wheels is spinning, spraying water, but the rear wheels aren't moving. If the rear is getting 50% power, why is this so ?

  • "one of the front wheels is spinning, spraying water, but the rear wheels aren't moving. why is this so ?"

Welcome to the open diff world!

  • the tires did you in.

  • same tires all foresters come with, so...?

  • Yokohama Geolander
