I love this. You've taken what you have and figured out what you needed to do. No limits. And let me just tell you...I've been on youtube for six years and this is only the third or fourth time that I've written something like that. Nice...and thanks.
Dolby enconding its one of the most important key to success. You will need to encode to Dolby if you want your movie in 80% of the cinemas. Just because it provide you super redundant audio in Good quality with 2 levels of backup and let you be in any format, from 35mm to the latest mainstream format. Think about that.
Anyway, nice video. Less video explanations and more audio tutorial would make it perfect :)
I was having problems figuring out how to export surround sound. Who knew you had to set up the master with the 5.1 setting in the Sequence setup. Thanks for the vid.
Excuse my ignorance, but if you were to mix a project in 5.1 surround sound, what happens if you only have a stereo set-up or just use headphones with your computer? Does it just take the mix and sort of psychacoustically approximate the position of the channels through whatever your computers sound set-up may be?
Great tutorial bro! That is way more complicated than what I will ever use premier for but good to know it's capabilities. By the way, YouTube is letting some people who have not violated any copyright issues have video limits beyond 15 minutes now so that may help you with future tutorials. Keep up the good work.
@djtowo Good question. There are better and more expensive ways to do it, but we just started the videos playing on both computers at the same time (they're identical computers). Works for us. The video was very close to being in perfect sync, and the audio was in sync because all front and back channels were coming from the same computer.
Thanx for the heads up on the H264 5.1 output option. But when I use dynamic link to send it to Encore, the output shows that the audio files is a stereo file. I messed with the audio's output options but had no luck. Please, how do we get our 5.1 surround mix into Encore? And in your project in this video, during the live presentation, were you running this live out of Premiere?
@fnub We used a PC in the auditorium, so I encoded it as a WMV file and played it through Windows Media Player, if I remember correctly. It could have also been an H.264 file played through Quicktime. (Either one of those, working in conjunction with Easy Worship presentation software, that is...) As for making DVD's encoded in 5.1 sound, that requires an additional Dolby plug-in that costs a few hundred dollars, as of last time I checked.
What kind of hardware are you using (speakers, sound card) to preview/monitor your surround sound? I'm having some issues getting proper surround sound monitoring from Premiere Pro CS5 (on a MacPro system).
This isnt my Job, but it was going to be my job before I became an animator. Found your video very interesting, so thanks ma friend! Quite inspired to make some crazy surround sound music... One day
hi, can you help me? I have a music video recording but the camera I used has really bad sound quality, I'm planning to buy adobe premiere pro but I wanna make sure if it can edit the bad sound quality of an audio in my video. can it make it cleaner like with less treble and more bass like that? I'm really desperate please! thank you so much! T_T
Premiere has some pretty good audio effects, including EQ like you mentioned. Whether or not that can resurrect bad audio... I don't know. It's always best to start with good audio. But it can probably make it better...
I used Premiere Pro CS4's recommended export settings for YouTube Widescreen HD. It's a H.264 video at 720p (1280x720), 29.97 fps with about 128 kbps stereo audio.
si puedes agregar subtitulos en espñol por favor xd..
con virtual dub mod..
write in English and translated into google translator, virtual dub mod then create the captions and then add captions in the video in youtube in options please : )
The small video in the bottom right corner is from my MacBook's iSight WebCam. It's integrated into the screencap through a program called "iShowU HD."
Sometimes in my videos, I'll also do split screens using wipes or crops in Adobe Premiere.
Great tutorial on Adobe Premiere. I work whit CS4 to but never done any 5.1 whit it. Can you make a basic tutorial on premiere.
Because, if i import my .MPG files (HD) and i render it, its becomes brighter and the quality is less then the original.. and i always have to center every single take. if i put it on 100% it would not work.. anyway.. Again great tutorial! good explaining! thnx!
Is your source 1080i? Is the sequence you create also 1080i? If you're making a standard DV sequence, you will have to resize your HD footage to 44% to get it to fit. If moving 1080i to 720p, be sure to deinterlace and resize to 67%.
Also, the brightness thing sounds weird. Which setting (codec) are you using when you render out your footage?

@bdubrecords Ok thanks, I needed the answer from a pro. I guess I'll just cut the sound into two pices and divided

I can't find the area where you pan the 5.1 sound. I have the audio mixer, but I can't see the 5.1 pan option.

I don't like the Adobe Premiere's 5.1 mixer. The best mixer in a edition software is the Magix Movie Edit Pro 16Plus Dolby's Mixer. It's fantastic.
