I just started knife onlying today and its so fun.

tips:

Juggernaut so you can rush at them without dying as much

Extreme conditioning to chase ppl or rush them head on

Have out your pistol so you can knife faster

And i find that jumping at them helps because they can't aim as well and you can knife there bitch faces in.

Oh and you... Knifing in hardcore dont make a difference. We own the 24/7 knives only server and on hardcore it makes no difference which even if you were getting shot at all you have to do it put on juggernaut and BAM, you have the same amout of health that you do in core mode

Theres plenty of different devices to record it but of course they ALL COST MONEY!!!! so unless your willing to spend money don't read the rest of this... #1 is a capture card #2 is an archos! I use the archos and it records great but for some reason I never uploaded any of my videos... I just show to my friends.

You can record with FRAPS which is free to download and use. You only get 30 seconds of record time though. there is also a built in recorder in COD4 you type "/record" in the console. you can then watch it by typing in something else which i don't remember. but you need FRAPS to get the good stuff into a nice format like AVI.
