damn i work for my pops and all the employees there suck balls and we have got in the biggest arguements i have ever got in with my dad over those shitty lazyass employees and he fired me 1 times because of it but rehired me that monday. i can relate to that shit. it sucks.
no, there's something fundamental you're not understanding. Going to law school and spinning wheels running his dad's business by itself was a waste, but it was necessary for him to break out of this mindset. Once he knew what the real world was like he could properly make life decisions because his worldview had expanded. Tucker Max made a DECISION about his life. Learning HTML was a DECISION. DO you think they teach HTML at law school? No, he was proactive and learned it himself.
Great segment but I think Tucker is wrong referring to his time spent in law school and running his dad's business as useless or a waste.
Law school enabled him to spend 3 months learning html which helped him develop his website (which is where he built his following first). If he hadn't worked for his dad, he'd lack the business acumen to running Rudius Media.
Think of Steve Jobs's speech at the Stanford graduation where the dots don't "connect" until later.
you honestly think that managing a restaurant helped tucker manage an online company or that law school helped him learn to write html? you're probably just trying to rationalize your decision to work a job you hate
