  • hey, this episode was not in the 90's it was in 2001 if you did not know.

  • @aroetting I know but it is just a term ZOOM fans use. It measns the series that started in the 90s not the original 70s version.

  • @disneysongtape I am a fan of ZOOM and i have never used that term, but that's just me.

  • @aroetting I think it might be because I am around alot of adults who remember the original version and just loosely refered to it as the 90s version.

  • I was five when this episode came out, I remember sitting in my house and wondering what had happened. I had just come home from school and no one would tell me what was happening.....

  • @Maggoos0hideaway why din't they tell you?

  • If you want to know where I got my info if you think I am wrong, there is a new virtual exhibit made at the Fred Rogers Center website where you have to sign in and register to see the material. It is called Beyond the Neigborhood and will be under the section Advocacy For Children (at the bottom, you will see pictures with a link saying "more.."

  • @JoeB0y16 Thanks. I will check it out.

  • I can give you info on the clip of Mister Rogers from 0:09 to 0:28. The clip was one of two Public Service Announcements he made in 1981 to help parents give caring and reassuring ways to help children cope with cetrain scary events (in this case when the film was made, it was the Persian Gulf War). The station must have felt it was relevant to this day to air it again.

  • I was 4 on 9/11. I also live on Brooklyn. That was the worst day in my childhood.

  • @TheNw1218 i know I am glad this special was made.

  • @raeram2008 I know. That is a big mistake they made. No problem. I believe every kid should see it for the history.

  • I glad this episode is up. I'm even more glad that before ZOOM started, we could hear from our greatest neighbor. I wonder what he did when this happened.

  • @Drewit1 Me too I am not sure but I am sure he did all he could.

  • i was a teenager but think i dealt with it pretty good, there was alot of anger going around at just anybody, and people crying, im glad i wasnt a kid, it would have been alot harder to deal with it when u dont understand it being so young and not emotionally mature, thats why alot of parents kept it from their kids. hope all y'all kids out there got through it ok, and that the future, the new year, will be a good one for y'all! peace!

  • @mikefan09 Same to you. you are so right.

  • When did these kids film ZOOM? In the summer, or during the year? When did they have time to film this episode?

  • @funkydeby I don't know. I think they recorded in the summer and maybe they taped this on the weekend since it was a special. This is only my guess.

  • @funkydeby in the summer, but im pretty sure they filmed this episode during the year.

i was a huge zoom fan as an elementary schooler. i taped this episode as a 9-year-old after the attacks happened.

  • @nerdface92 Ye they would of had to it aired like a week after the attacks.

  • YES!! I never saw this when it aired.

  • @bubblinbrownsugar616 No Problem. I am glad I was able to tape it.

  • WOW I have not seen this since the day it aired! Thank you so much for uploading this!

  • @JBmiddleOFnoWHERE No Problem Glad to do it.

  • I only saw about half of this-I am so glad someone uploaded it. Thanks!

  • @steverabc No Problem. Glad to help everybody. This is a great special.

  • i was 9 and in grade 4 when this happened, i remember talking to my friend on the phone and she said on tv there were people jumping out of buildings. so i looked on tv and every channel had something about it. i didnt really get what was going on hard for a 9 yr old to understand that

  • @taryndancer29 I know. I didn't get it eather and I was in High school.

  • i was in 1st grade when that happend and a few weeks after that a store caugt fire

  • @happymom447 That was spooky but terrorist would not go after one store Idon't think.

  • @disneysongtape well back in Tennessee I made a prediction of that 9/11 attack happening in New York and sure enough the twin towers was all destroyed caused by the two planes and boy was I surprised

  • @KivaMarieTurbo1 What made you make that prediction?

  • @disneysongtape trust me it was in the dream

  • @KivaMarieTurbo1 This is interesting to me. I study the paranormal. There has to be some connection. Do you remember what happened that day that would make you have a dream like that? Are you from NYC?

  • @disneysongtape I'm not from New York City I'm from Ohio and well I was on a building the roof then I saw a plane and it crashed on the that side of the twin towers then after that another plane crashed to where I was on but it went through the building then well the rest is classified

  • @KivaMarieTurbo1 Scary but I don't think there is any connection to your dream it could just be concidence What do you think?

  • I was 8, in 2nd grade. We were dismissed from school early and I didn't know why. One of the 4th graders told me that bad people had caused a lot of pain and that my mom would explain it when I got home. When I did get home, my mom was crying and my stepdad was already home. They had the news on but my mom wouldn't let me watch because she didn't want me to have nightmares. The next day it was all people talked about at school. We didn't even do any work, we just talked.

  • @vulcangrl13 You were better than me. I was just excite to get home earley to see Dog and Pepper Ann on Disney Channel. Now that I am older I remember how serious it was. disneysongtape

  • i remember back in the day when all us little schoolgirls had crushes on Kenny. old times. I just remember the third grade when I would always ask my friend who her favorite zoomer was and she was always like "Kenny!" and I was like "Why???" and she was all like "because he's cute." and I would always be like "he is cute...... kinda" lol. this is old. miss this show :(

  • @Misskayseeluvsu Me too is was a great show. Kenny was cool. Did you send him your picture asking for a date lol. Just kidding. disneysongtape

  • I don't remember this airing at all, but it was probably a one-time deal only.

  • @Constillini9 It was a one time deal. I would not have even know about it if my mom was not reading the paper and told me about it. Right away I grabbed a tape and set the timer. Now you all can enjoy it. disneysongtape

  • @italiandom7221991 Not me learning was always always difficult for me. disneysongtape

  • @italiandom7221991 I always hated the work. I felt what I wanted to learn I would learn on my own. I tried to get out out of work all of the time. disneysongtape

  • @italiandom7221991 I know it is. I never liked school. disneysongtape

  • @italiandom7221991 I was the same way. I didn't get it now a care more. When my dad picked me up from school because of what happened all I cared about was seeing the Doug and Pepper Ann hour on Disney Channel. disneysongtape

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I have been searching for it for many years.

  • @amiraluv No Problem Glad to help. disneysongtape

  • updated photos of the zoomers on my channel!!!!!!! =) ♥♥♥

  • i was 13 in the 8th grade, not young but not old enough to fully get it, i was horrified

  • i was the same way disneysongtape

  • I was 11 and was at 6th grade camp (an optional school activity in the San Diego School District). All the students were unaware so when we finally arrived back at school, all I remember was many parents in tears. I thought it was because we were missed, but turned out a couple of terrorists took the life many people. Living in the west coast, I never really felt the impact but as an adult, its amazing knowing I lived through this. Thanx 4 the upload, brings back fond memories

  • this aint from the 90s

  • Yes it is. It was taped right after the 9/11 attacks. disneysongtape

  • it couldnt have been in the 90's if it was after the 9/11 attacks...cause they happened in 2001...

but the era is basically the same

  • Basically what I ment by that was the version that started in the 90s rather than the 70s one. disneysongtape

  • I Think That's From Series 3 Right?

  • Yes It is. Bob

  • I can't believe it's been 8 years since 9-11. I gave a speech about it for public speaking

  • nice job. i know it is sad. nice job on the speech. disneysongtape

  • I remember this

  • It was a great special. Glad I record it. disneysongtape

  • i <3 kenny

  • Kenny was cool. Bob

  • does anyone have anything from season 5 (not from the 70s)?

  • no Sorry I don't. BOb

  • This is a few months after Season 4 was filmed.

  • Cool I am glad that they were able to get all the ZOOMers together so quickly for this. BOb

  • True, but the Season 3 cast was in this, but the Season 4 ZOOMers: Aline, Garrett, Matt and Esturado aren't in it, but I wish they do.

  • I agree the more the better. Bob

  • well i was in 1st grade or kindergarten somewhere around there when this happened and i was really scared becuase of corse i was in new york and i told my mom if we were going to be fine becuase everyone was getting picked up from school early and workers were running scared and it was just scary

  • I would say so. I am glad that you were all right and not in the REAL problem section of NYC at the time. Bob

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this well. I remember during 9-11 I was on my way on a field trip to the Michigan State Capital.......on my way to a government building on 9-11...talk about tripped out.

  • Scary Where did you go when you heard about it? Bob

  • Well I was on the bus when it happened....I remember the teachers yelling "SHUT UP" and we heard about it on the radio. I wasn't too sure what was going on until my mom was waiting to pick me up when the bus took us back to school. She told me what happened, and I saw it on TV when I got home and I was in complete shock.

  • Why were the teacher yelling Shut up? At the kids for getting excired about what they heard on the radio? If that is the case you have some mean teachers. They should of explained things. Bob

  • Nic. Thanks for helping. Zoom was a really great show. Bob

  • Thank you so much! I never saw this special...

  • Yes. I would have never know about it myself until my mom was reading the newspaper and saw it and told me. I had only 15 minutes to get a tape in my VCR. I am glad I did. Bob
