Hey can anybody help me get a good technical death metal tone out of TSE and LePou amp sims and God's mesa impulses? i get a really great thrash/death metal sound but i can't seem to get that ridiculously clean compressed distortion that bands like obscura use... could anyone help me?
That sounds frigin awesome!! How do you set the controls on the od820? Im used to using a od808 with the overdrive at 0, balance at full and the tone knob at 12 o clock.
@tbag809 I have a Rev F too. Mine is in the 2000s for serial number though. Such a great amp, nothing quite like it. Getting a Mills Mach212B really helped me to optimize the tone of the recto. Such a fantastic 212. Too old for a 4 x 12 now!!
@givemeajackson war ich auch Jahrelang....zumindest von den ersten Modellen (vor allem der Straight war klasse, Blackmore und Savage sind auch gut)....dann Kam der Powermüll und alles ging den Bach runter ;)
wo mesa boogie immer so in den himmel gehoben wird, meiner meinung nach klingt er (zumindest bei dem track) am schlechtesten von allen von dir vorgeführten amps.
kannst du vielleicht mal Aufnahmen mit verschiedenen Tubesreamern machen? Mich würde mal interessieren wie groß der Unterschied zwischen dem Maxon oder den verschiedenen Ibanez Modellen wirklich ist. Oder eventuell mal nen Bad Monkey

the 820 sounds a bit fatter and smoother, while the 808 sounds a bit dirtier and more "urgent" if that makes any sense
