This is a lovely video and I think you really made a fantastic gesture making this journey. I have visited the memorial several times since I have family in Kvam, actually I have just returned from visiting them. My grandfather participated in the Norwegian resistance. I think the gratitude from the Norwegian people towards the Bristih can never be overestimated. I would be happy to place a flower at the memorial on your behalf next time I visit Kvam. I hope you had time to visit the war museum!
@calanais06 Thank you very much, that is a very kind offer, but please place a flower not only on my behalf but also on behalf of all the people who have relatives buried here and have not been able to do so themselves, something in retrospect i should have done myself. I'm afraid i was just a few days too late to visit the war museum, it appears that it is open only for a few weeks in the year.
@livewithcloggys Oh, yes I will definitely do that!! It will be a while before I can go back though, but I will remember it. It was a shame the museum was closed, it is really nice.
Thank you. The history is general, but enough to give a couple of old age people an idea of where what and why their big brother never came home, i hope.

@livewithcloggys Thank you so much for posting this. We lost our grandfather here at Kvam so this is very personal:
Corporal Edward Humphreys, 4742342, 1st Bn., York and Lancaster Regiment
who died age 33 on 28 April 1940.
Remembered with honour.
