It doesn't interfere with Airport frequencies. That's total bullshit. Why would they transmit on a station that can't be picked up with a standard AM/FM radio? It's just propaganda - an excuse to crack down on the common man who can't afford the massive fees required to pay for radio bandwidth but wants to get their art and message out there.

I do a radio show on a pirate station here in Austin, its ashame that people don't appreciate it. The FCC wants to keep good music outta your heads. Pirate DJs bring you what you want.

if it wasn't for pirate radio stations in the early 90s we wouldn't have had jungle or any kind of english music scene

it probably helped bring a lot of foreign youth to britain who would have otherwise thought it was a country stuck up it's own a**s like it's upper classes... KISS FM, if anything, should be a warning to any pirate station who's thinking of going legal - it's absolute shite now ...

I remember when they did their test transmissions in 1990..Music was much better from them then, also at that time there was no other radio stations playing urban music. Kool FM Dream FM LWR Solar Time for life!
