@yodady4 g36 is far more accurate, the thompson has too much fps for the barrel length so it's accuraccy is piddly and also theres not a whole lot of attachments/upgrades for the thompson. plus it's bulky, i reccomend a g36, and i have an echo 1, they're awesome little guns.

hop-up is kinda hard to explain, i don't have a nice airsoft gun yet but i will soon,anyway hop-up is kinda like it says, if hop-up is on your bb will spin upward after being shot making the bb go further, if it is off the bb just goes how far it can before gravity brings it back down that is what it is in gineral hope that helped =P

i had the s-system for only like 3 weeks and the piece of shit literally fell apart on me, fired good but just built like a toy piece of shit and the all metal front just weighs down the plastic body and might eventually crack the plastic at the stock if u carry it on a sling. this gun is so much better built, such a solid almost one piece gun, you'd never break this thing unless you really tried and it fires way better and lasts longer, tho jg just came out with the enhanced s-system version...

Echo 1 if you want the metal bushings installed. Echo 1 checks if the gun is a lemon as well, and you get a 30 day warranty. I believe they use a little bit weaker spring as well, but I believe it's so the gun is more reliable. I'm not really sure though so don't quote me on that.

airsoft is played more widely around the world than paintball dude. and airsoft gun velocities are typically faster than paintball guns. the only reason why u feel a paintball more is b/c of the mass/size of the paintball. airsoft is more realistic by far though.
