  • Comment removed

  • im practicing and i'll post a vid. of me waltzing for u to see i am still learning though...........

  • @ucwhitten this is not my post it was posted by a previous user but it's no longer showing in the top posts so I'm reposting it to the top for people using it to practice.

  • @ucwhitten credit goes to @khl31

  • basic b?? atwz hHHhahah

  • this is soo romantic

  • whats the name of the song plllzlzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HEY WHATS THE SONG CALLED?

  • @nelkfnkjfnwekjf The name of the song is "Watermark". There exist different versions of this song, the one of this video is that of Prandi Sound I suppose... but I'm not sure of this

  • this is kinda stupid...whats the purpose of dancing if your just gonna copy someone elses dancing moves?

  • They are great dancers, but it always irritates me how at this level women lean back so much and change their head directions so many times. In my opinion, it distracts from the graceful lines and smoothness of the movement, as it is too exaggerated and artificial. Other than that, it is beautiful.

  • They never cease to amaze me with they're perfect execution of the steps!!!

  • What a way to sweep a girl off her feet <3

  • that's looks very graceful and romantic. :) I wish I had a guy to dance like this. x3

  • Enya? I didn't know this song was a waltz XD

  • CAN'T STOP BEATING OOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • To those who are wondering what music this is...it is called 'Watermark' by Enya.

  • ultra hardcore

  • i know this is a demonstration video, but my goodness this dance really was breathtaking, just cements the fact that i wanna learn to do this really badly

  • There dancing is so peaceful. Would any musical person know what key this piece is in though?

  • What a good looking couple. So graceful!

  • When dancing was on it's peak (only some years ago) they called such posture "overpoised" and believe me, they wouldn't have earned much placings. Now the disabled have gathered and crowned their own "Kings".

Good thing is - I don't have to like it.

  • what's so basic about this? they call two professionals and they seem more intent to show off their moves than to introduce anything BASIC.

  • @bibi14930 It's "basic" because they only do syllabus steps. They aren't "showing off" at all, simply dancing most of the syllabus steps as how they SHOULD be. This video is almost like an encyclopedia for what waltz syllabus steps should look like; watch some professional showpieces if you want to see what the open, non-basic steps look like.

  • Hi, I came across a new Waltzing Classics CD last week and decided to purchase! I just wanted to share with you as its a great listen with the opportunity to explore further dance steps! You can check it out on the classic fm website...enjoy!

  • wow, i have never seen someone dancing like this before. its so wonderful, i... excuse me.., i'm weeping, when ive seen this perfection and harmony.. just awesome! there is nothing left to say.

  • Beautiful dancing, but for some reason it bugs me that it's not to the beat of the music and I hardly ever find dance routines that use the whole song and cut it off in the middle...

  • ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ-ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA

  • The song: Watermark - Stefano Nanni w_ww.casa-musica-shop.de

  • Is there any chance that you could send me the music's name please? Unless it's composed by yourself of course.

  • They look like they're made out of plastic.

  • Beautiful, just beautiful.

  • here and there the cross-step waltz

  • i really need this fast version of song, can enyone write me to pm with a download link or smth? plz plz plz!!!

  • Beautiful!!!! The music's lovely too.

  • those two people should go on britians got talent or something.

  • @jazmineheath they are neither british nor do they require to win a talent show: they are world professional ballroom champions, they have proven their talent and hard work by winning the worlds title several times..but they ended their partnership a year ago, they dance with different partners now..just search for "mirko and edita":)

but you are right, btw, they are absolutely mesmerizing..amazing dancers..

  • wow, Its really beautiful. aww.

  • That was beautiful

  • Nice trying to learn from you m8

  • the most gorgeous dance ever...

  • I absolutely need song's name! :D

  • @bosykova i think it's "Watermark" by Enya

  • There is actually only one dance step Mirko is doing here: "Take care of your partner".

Where the feet go is secondary.

  • 舞歩清晰對初學者很有幇助

  • two angels !!!

  • What is the name of the song for this dance item? Its beautiful, but I love the song also.

  • beautiful!

  • great couple with great waltz, I love it

    INTERNATIONAL DANCE COLLECTION SLOW WALTZ

  • so beautiful :)

  • I'm looking for this song..

i know it's Enya - Watermark but it's not the same version as Enya, since the song from enya is smooth and this one is a bit faster with a diffrent synch

  • Oh, wow... Somebody, PLEASE teach me how to dance like her! =D

  • Parfait. I want to dance like her. The name of the song is Watermark by Enya.

  • well..it's quite easy to dance like her...just practice 20 years and if possible at least for 10 years with the same partner, 5 days a week, at least 3-4 hours a day..

if they would still compete when you practiced for that time, you could reach the final where they dance in, in order to get beaten by them:)

    sorry I couldn't resist:)

    they dance wonderfully:)

  • @tranquillity91: so your talking about the 10,000 hours rule to be great eh :D. According to your numbers the amount of practicing would be around 15,6000 hours. So if the 10,000 hours is correct, all you need to do is practice for about 14 years to pull it off :P.

  • whats the name? i want to use this song for my 15s please send me bak :) thank you!

  • Super :)

  • Just Amazing! Perfect! Congratulations!

  • beautiful

  • What's the name of this song? I'm probably going to use it on my debut. Please reply asap!

  • Comment removed

  • it's Enya- Watermark

  • Perfect

  • La perfezione è imperfetta davanti a questo valzer lento....

  • ........è verissimo concordo,,,,,

  • Just beautiful

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the song?

  • I think the audio line is not synchronious to the video line, or otherwise the dance is not in tact in some positions.

The style and technique are honorable. Very nice to see .... :-D

  • er? it looks like on time to me, it's just that sometimes they delayed the swing and come out on 3& instead of 3, which looks better i think

  • i mean their foot timing not body timing

  • wow ! Faved and 5***** , it's gonna be rly useful 4 me to watch it !!!! Thank you :)

  • i am german, so I don't know what the expression "wing" means, at what second is it?

I mean, the whole waltz is absolutely beautiful,

I can just dream of once being half as good as they are:)

  • Wing is a name of a figure, not an expression... Anyway, they dance it after whisk at 1:09...

  • thank you very much for your answer, indeed that figure looks great...in fact i meant figure, but that's how a foreign language is:)

  • "wing" is called "Flugschritt" in German

  • literally brought tears to my eyes. did anyone spot the wing - the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. i'd written off that step before...

  • The Wing is PERFECT! Absolutely beautiful..!!

  • flawless.

  • juz like dancing in the air...

  • It is so wonderful to see such basic figures executed so extremely well. The technique is perfect!

But well, can you expect less from the absolute greatest ballroom couple in the world!

Mirko and Alessia have won every single tournement they've participated in since august 2005 - now THAT is amazing!

And we are talking Professional championships with the absolute highest standards in the world!

It's an absolute joy every time I see them dance! They are the couple to look up to!

  • The song on this is by Enya simply redone.

  • Siete splendidi, ma si può sapere il titolo del brano che state ballando?

  • Comment removed

  • wonderful

  • Who can write down the figure list?

  • Overturned Spin Turn-Turning Lock-Chasse fr PP-Quick Open Rev-Hover Corte-Back Whisk-Chasse fr PP-Spin Turn-Back Lock-Left Whisk-Contracheck, recover to PP-Checked Rev Turn from PP-Outside Spin-Half Nat-Spin Turn, Rev Pivot-Double Rev Spin-Fallaway Rev, Slip Pivot-Double Rev Spin-Rev Turn-Left Whisk-Untwist-Back Whisk-Open Nat-Back Whisk-Open Wing-Chasse to R-Back Lock-Outside Spin-Back Lock-Spin Turn-(456) Rev Turn-Rev Turn-Lunge

  • Is it the last step 'Oversway'?

  • @khl31 Thanks for putting this up! I'm getting prepped for a comp in a couple days, and while I was watching this and comparing it to The Ballroom Technique, it seems as if the the Turning Lock they do in the beginning is actually a Turning Lock to R since the book said it can only be done after an overturned spin turn and followed by a Chasse fr PP?

Are you able to confirm this?

  • and the name of the song is??

  • As stated previously, the song is Watermark, by Enya. This version is can be found on the Bill and Bobbie Irvine Awards, Vol 2

  • Sono perfetti...

  • Amazingly good. Delightful to watch basic figures executed so well. super music too

  • What is the name of this song?? Watermark, i know, but i need THIS version (3/4). Anybody know where i get this song?

  • The song is available on a CD "All Star Ballroom Dances vol. 3". The CD is by Prandi Sound Records. I think you may also find it on other ballroom dance CDs.

  • hey the guy below my comment, it is really easy...

and if you hate people like them why do you even bother watching the clips??

    stupid stupid stupid!!!

  • What is the name of this song?

  • This is very good. I would say this is Basic Advanced Level.

  • So beautiful!

  • The mini standing spin after left whisk is actually syllabus.

  • is that a wquick open reverse at :22?

  • Yes, but there is nothing basic about the technical proficiency they display.

  • That's the problem with a whole host of so-called "basic" dance clips on Youtube. I don't even see the need for the term to be used, but it is with irritating regularity, especially by "Dapenda". This particular clip is absolutely enchanting but to give someone contemplating taking up dancing the impression that this kind of standard is "basic" is just plain ridiculous.

  • I think in this case "basic" means syllabus steps from bronze to gold. It's just that their technique is much higher than the average dancer. I find it inspiring to see the same steps I do done at such a high level.

  • Thanks for this. I'm sure that experienced dancers would have understood the context in which the term "basic" was intended. However,Youtube attracts a very wide audience, amongst which is bound to be a large body of people who would love to take up dancing but who might be daunted by imagining that what they are watching is as elementary as it gets. Tiger Woods's golf swing is probably "basic", but does that mean a beginner will also be able to drive a ball 340yards with pinpoint accuracy?

  • Besides the standing spin, everything else are syllabus figures.

  • As a syllabus level competitive dancer it is wonderful to see the top couple in the world doing the same steps I do at such a high level. It is very inspiring.

  • "Basic..." I wish! Amazing dancing.

  • whats the name of this song?

  • The name of the song is "Watermark" by Enya.
