  • @duncan7599 hope that's a joke XD

  • how come phil leotardo didn't even suspect that he was gonna get whacked? first of all, the freakin' idiot couldn't even whack tony when tony was at his freakin' house talkin to A.J. and stuff! why wouldn't you send someone to tony's house to hide in the bushes and cap his ass? and then, knowing tony didn't die, why the hell would you be talking to some lady about bullshit? they should put phil re-tard-o on his grave.

  • wow crosby bitch watch the show before you open your mouth! phil was in hiding far away from everyone else and they only found him because one of tony's fbi buddies got a tip and told him, there was no hit attempt at tony's house while talking to aj idk where the fuck you got that from? and that lady is phils wife, clearly you are not a fan, just some ignorant asshole trying to play catchup by watching random soprano clips on youtube

  • your so fucking dumb.

I asked why phil didn't send a hitman to tony's house when he was talking to his family, and a.j. was all depressed and tony threw him out of his bed.

I didn't say phil tried to whack him then, just that he should have. all someone would have to do was camp outside tonys front door and waste him when he walked out.

phil was having a great time at a gas station, even if he was far away he was still an idiot for being exposed and not even worrying about it.

  • phil would have known that the mob has all kinds of connections to the cops and whoever else. tony even tried to get furio when he in italy, it's implied that there is a good chance the mob can find you anywhere.

phil would have known that, so why would he be running errands out in the open at a gas station, completely unsuspecting? my comment made complete sense, you're just a jackass who likes to yell and think he's smart by hating on others. FUCK YOU

  • You don't even see it comming. And yeah, they shoulda did one more season. And not have killed off chris, just incase they do a movie, they'd have another OG.

  • lol

  • Just a terrible ending. When i first watched this i thought my tivo broke

  • The people who didn't like the ending are the people who either A) don't watch the sopranos or B) it just flew over their heads. every person in that restaurant is a symbol. a reference to earlier plots in the series.

  • very true.

  • @filmdude89

I totally agree with your view of the final scene. I know that Tony got shot in the final scene. I'm happy enough with the ending. We don't need to see it happen, we know it happened!!!! It all turns black and Tony is dead.

  • @filmdude89 I know its two years since you made this comment. But the only symbol of earlier plots that i could see was that Members Only Guy who (was probably the killer) was a reference to Eugene Pontecorvo. What are the others?

  • damn this video was 3 seconds longer than it said.

  • oh good job, you can put 2 and 2 together. wanna cookie smartass?

  • lol at the ketchup thing

  • Tony is dead. Chase NEVER said "Tony lives". Read the actual interview. NY Daily News is idiotic.

The "definitve explanation of the end" has been published.

I can't link to it because youtube doesn't allow it.

Just google, "wordpress" "definitive explanation of the end" "Sopranos"

Someone needs to put part I (illustrating the POV pattern and debunking the stupid "Tony will always have to look over his shoulder" theory) on youtube.

Check it out, you'll thank me later.

  • read chase's interview with the ny post, or the times, in both interviews he says tony is not dead he wrote the episode he should know

  • i really don't understand the last part. why does the screen just go black?

  • It's because i wanted to hide the super secret ending, i'm a genius like that ;)

  • GOLD

  • quite possibly the best programme ever.

  • Chase said theres a possibility for a movie but its unlikely to happen cause alot of characters got killed this season and b4 to really have an entertaining movie.

  • Plenty of chances for dream sequences then, people can pop back up just like Big Pussy.

  • lmao ketchup...tony is my fav character of all time

  • no she doesnt run his face over watch the show before youmake jugdements she got out of the car and it was in drive so it moved by itself

  • lol black screen ending

  • Wow. That's nice of that lady to do. Run the dude's face over...lol.

  • lol take that ya friggin ketchup!

  • what happened to the russian valerei? thats what i wanna know.

  • he's still running and bleeding.

no i hope he laid low, healed, and started to plot against everyone. Knowing Chase he would just make him

    *Dont Stop*

  • lol,i wanted it to escalate into a full blown war,the russian mafia against the italians, now that would have been interesting.

  • yeah that would be great!

the show tranisitons from The Sopranos to The Mikhaylovs...

this could go forever, each ethnic group gets a turn as mob boss

  • I mean, we watched seven/eight years of this program for that?

  • nah, u know theres been tons of good stories and performances,

endings for a long tv series are very rarely satisfactory imo.

instead of thinking so much about the ending, i would say it's time to

dust off the dvds from season one and start from the beginning and

    relive the journey.

  • It is September 13th 2007, 11.20pm and the final episode of the Sopranos just finished. We thought we had knocked the remote or maybe the TV station had gone on the fritz...I swear you could hear every Soprano fan in New Zealand all at once very loudly exclaim, "What the f#*k?"

  • Hmm... that's about what happened. And there probably is going to be a movie. It'll show us what really happened, and the aftermath... hopefully everyone just dies and then that way all the loose ends are tied up.

  • the great part about the sopranos was that it was so believable and realistic, and endings that are tied up with no loose ends are not plausible or realistic. tony's a crime boss, why would his problems ever be tied up?

  • yeah, actually, thats pretty much all that happened.

  • i think they showed her parking so many times meaning that maybe if shed parked the first time and got in and sat next to tony the guy who would have come out the toilet just shot but hit het instead, lol i dont thats 1 of the things i think lol

  • At the end I was reaching for my remote. I thought I sat on my remote and turned my tv off.

  • I don't understand what the importance of Meadow and her parking her car 500 times has to do with anything. Maybe just to build angst.

  • i beleive thats exactly the reason.

  • if meadow doesn't take so long to park theres a possibility tony doesn't get shot cause shed be sitting right next to him and the killer wouldn't have a good view to take the shot

  • are you ever gonna see a soprano movie without TONY? HELLA NOT.are you gonna go see a Soprano movie without meadow?SURE

    Thats the answer

  • They go to the diner right. About...3-5 guys that look italian(or looks like they don't belong) walk in, Tony looks at them in suspesion that they're gonna whack him, so when Meadow is trying to park (lol) more people come in and go to the bathroom, (Where most likely they're getting ready to kill the whole Soprano family)

  • heres what happened, at a part in the episode they are on the boat talking about how when you get shot in the head, you dont feel anything it just goes black and by the ending of the episode he gets whacked, i know this because parts of the shows are through his own eyes, and for it to just go black would have to mean he got whacked, at the very last second he looks up and really if it didnt get blacked out, it would have showd him getting shot in the head.

  • This ending? is a cynical spit in the face by guy (smarter than everybody else) David Blaine,

who is probably going to get a movie deal to take a The Sopranos movie. I bet he's just so full with himself that he's just laughning himself silly all the controversy.

I would like to hired Pauly Walnuts to deal with

Mr. Blaine. Now that! Would make a great ending. fade to black...........

  • Maybe before you act all upset by the ending, you should first make sure you know what your talking about. The "guy" is named David Chase, not Blaine. David Blaine is a magician brainiac.

  • if meadow does show up at the end, show video as proof or it didn't happen

  • It happened. However, it's not my job to educate you so go find it yourself

  • no thanks, if Last Shot Meadow existed, it would be all over the place.

as soon as i see it i'll believe it.

if i don't see one soon i'll have to make one

  • what the fuck!?

  • Meadow came through the restaurant door...no chimes....thats the last shot I saw when I watched.

  • There were chimes. Watch it again. They are clearly there.

  • they left it opean to do another season if Tony and them wanted to. Everyone who did not what to do another one got wacked. so mabe this is not the final episode.

  • pathetic

  • yeah,real genius,why have an end,that makes sence,more like completely in, awe-ful

  • Oh yeah shameless self-promo:

please also watch what i wished upon Janice, who i hated the whole time.

    youtube dot com/watch?v=Sg_rktk1fQc

  • The only possibility for a movie to me that could be original and interesting

would be "Sopranos-The early years", history of everyone growing up, current cast can make cameos here and there. But even that might not be the home-run that THE Sopranos Movie would have to be.

  • i sorta highly doubt there will be a movie, who's really left to kill?

they would have to develop brand new characters and nobody would like that.

Do people really want to see Tony die? would that really satisfy everyone?

    i don't think so honestly.

  • Ye because thats really all there is to the sopranos, isnt there?. People getting wacked. If the film is made, nobody even needs to die for me to be completley in awe of Chases work. Illiterates.

  • Its just hype up for the movie!! Now that everyones talking about this I think your going to see them release the movie pretty soon. Hollywood would never give up their share in the film and release it late after everyones talking about the ending

  • it's true Chris just had a flesh wound and he walked it off

    strong like bull

  • que jodidos! es esto ?

  • check out the only real interpreation that 99.99999% people don't get. it's at jakjonsun dot wordpress dot com. it's amazing. worth the read.

  • what was that last bit all about?

  • It goes blank because tony dies at the dinner.

  • no he didnt die

  • overthinking is killing you.

  • fuck u j jean1, go to hell for all i care (and that chick was his daughter meadow u fat fuck), tony didn't die even thought i wanted him to after him killing chris, but, maybe he will die in the movie they are going to make

  • hold up i didnt start watching until A&E started showin it... tony killed chris???

  • I have been ambevolent about the Sopranos since the series started. I like how HBO milked this cash cow as long as they could (how long have they been advertising "the final episodes"?). I LOVE how much the fans hated the ending. Everyone wanted a bloodbath but instead people are arguing whether that chick walked in a door at the end. Funniest thing I have witnessed in a long time.

  • Oh...and yeah, it's actually spelled "ambivalent" for those desperate to find something minor point to argue. I just can't stop laughing at this whole thing.

  • afaik Meadow doesn't pop up in the last frame, if she did there would be

video evidence, no? i think it's just an attempt at creating a legend,

    but not an interesting one

  • Ketchup bottle was genius. Tony was obviously dreaming, as he went to sleep on a bed without sheets in the second last episode and woke up on a bed with them. Furthermore...

*He sees himself sitting down in the restaurant and

*He says he ordered the onion rings, when he never did. In fact, Tony Jr. was the one who said "oooh onion rings," but no order was ever made.

It's a dream. Oh yeah, Ron Paul for Prez in '08.

  • the last episode was the soprano family in a restaurant and as soon as meadow walks in its done ... and this is only like 15--20 seconds til black screen

  • I'm telling you Meadow walked in that door!!!!

  • Meadow DID NOT walk in the door - she was running toward the resturant - tony looks up and the screen goes black - she never actually came in - although I've heard that the EAST coast & WEST coast saw two different versions....

  • alright i dont get HBO I have to watch the tv versions of it so im only on like season one and ALOT has been lost in translation. so is there a major deal about Meadow and if she or did not walk through the door or if Tony actually saw her? at that point in the series?

  • what about the midwest? they did get a different version too? *rolls eyes*

  • I like how you included the ketchup bottle scene. Funny.

  • last verse of the song was "dont stop"

  • "Dont Stop".......and it stops.

  • I love how you condensed it so much, yet half the video is the black!

  • that's how it really ended on national TV

  • Owch

  • cool
