I would agree with you, but people will take personal choices about their lives and what they put into their own bodies. which is why i for one would like to see an end to prohibition. then people can make their choice in as safe a way as possible
drugs being illegal make them glamorous. It creates gangsters who can the afford expensive cars and clothes.
End prohibition - and WE can then control the drugs, rather than the criminals. End drug prohibition, and then WE get to take the glamour out of them.
Switzerland for example gives heroin to registered addicts for free - they have seen a reduction in crime and of people using as they get more users in to treatment.
When I say we - I mean the people and their governments. Criminals control drugs and it should be us.
I would like to say that I agree with you - but it is here that I must no, as I do not think it is realistic. There will always be somebody that will sy yes to drug usage. Prohibition has had decades to get this right. And it has led us to a war on drugs (with the US spending $1Trillion since the 1970s) and my country £14bn a year. We need a change.
The only reason faux news is happy to air this report is because it's more FEAR MONGERING. Because of goofy shit like this, it's nearly impossible for some of us to find ANY doctors willing to treat chronic pain, while rich and famous people can all too easily find a dozen doctors willing to RX them to death. Normal people, OTOH, can't even get basic relief. This country and its drug laws are ass backwards and fucked.
I think education is better than legislation on this issue. What if the DEA starts banning certain drugs because of a few bad decisions? Why not ask the FDA to stop regulating drugs all together and let patients, doctors, and scientists decide what's good for people. What are people going to do when the FDA starts banning oxycotin and they have to wait until something better comes out in the market?
My kids grandpa died the day after he got a script for oxicontin takin it exactly as prescribed and yet medical cannabis is deemed a slippery slope.
To what, freedom from outrageously priced and lethal prescriptions? Is pharma afraid people might start growin poppies too? Harvesting aspen bark? Possibly even growin their own food?
Is that the slippery slope we're talkin about here?
How about we start educating a little better and providing assistance where needed. Possibly then less un-expected births will occur.
I do not agree with your let people overdose to help our population problem. To me (please understand this is an opinion), that is totally retarded. If that's all you're going for, why don't we just start a few more wars? They seem to do really well with population problems.
Sorry if your comment was sarcastic, i didn't read it that way.
I would rather die any day, I don't care if I die. It's not a big deal anyway, at least I would be away from this evil world. Who would want to live on earth, seriously. If you ever heard of Isaac Newtons prediction in the year 2060, then yeah...
I would gladly accept denial from a doctor... They will die like any other person... Can't be that bad to die, you'll find total peace, away from this corrupt earth...
Yeah, you'll obviously thumbs down me, is it because I have no compassion?????
Of course I have compassion, and I do feel bad for people. It's just I think everyone deserves a chance and if they fail...they fail, no questions about it. So if they overdose, accident or not. They should have been more careful, unless it was a wrong type of medicine or something...
I have my own opinions and you have yours, so if you don't like my opinions, they don't reply to my comments...
Sure, fine, but you realize that's not normal, right? Most people go to a doctor because they expect to be treated and would be irate if they were refused. They wouldn't be all *shrug* "At least the population won't be so high after I die, so it's for the best."
Quit being dramatic, nobody's treating you like a leper. I'm just saying that your indifference to life is not shared by most people so your advice that people should be allowed to die because of overpopulation comes off as devoid of compassion for individuals.
What do you mean by allowed to die? So your saying people should not be allowed to die? Well, if you don't like or not, you should not say people are allowed to die or not. Who are you to play God? If God wants me to die any day, let him do it. I consider being saved after an almost lethal overdose cheating death, I don't know what you think, but that is how I am...
I may be harsh, but I believe it is true. I understand what you are saying, I think otherwise than the majority of the population.

May I ask what you mean by this? do you mena you are against the ending of prohibition of the currently illegal drugs?
rory997 2 years ago
@rory997
well, i mean we probably should not hurry towards the end by using drugs or whatever else
i wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

hope you had a good holiday season too.

@rory997 surry to disagree: i believe in "don't seduce", esp. the younger ones
flaminia5 2 years ago
@flaminia5 oh I couldnt agree more with you.
Drug dealers dont ask for i.d.
Therefore legalising drugs means WE get to control them, cos at the moment, its the drug dealers that have all the control.
rory997 2 years ago
@rory997 isn't it our task not to support the drug use glamourising in toto, at the parties, clubs etc.
should not sensible ppl just reject this dark side of life style,
so it's not only about "control", it's about "ideology"

@rory997 who are "we"?
if you reject drugs and tell your friends about this,
it may help more to fight drug production than any legalisation of any drugs
it's about the strong will, do your part: show a good example

Legal prescription drugs cause more problems than recreationally used Marijuana...
Our laws are crazy...

26000? Who Cares?
400,000 tobacco deaths a year
200,000 alcohol deaths a year
follow the dutch organic model. if it grows and doesn't need to be "chemically modified", legalize it.

Why is Fox so friendly to DPA these days? It seems a bit curious. Good, but curious.
jimbob6986 2 years ago 2
Um, why is this not good?...
It is good because we have 200,000 people less now each year out of 6.6 billion, in this already overpopulated world, and she wants to save them???
My god if you want to have a food shortage supply because of every one that needs to eat, then go fucking right ahead.
God even said humankind would starve from a food shortage and look where it's heading if you want to start stopping the overdoses...

Yeah, who needs compassion and sympathy, right? I guess you're okay with a doctor refusing to treat your illness because of overpopulation?

Vegas perfomer Danny Gans died recently from a perscription overdose,,what training to these doctors have?
nirvgardengod 2 years ago
I don't think it's the training you should be questioning, but the possibly perks they may be receiving from these prescription drug companies.
If anywhere there should be unbiased opinions, it should be when people's lives are at risk. These bastards are selling out.
