I would agree with you, but people will take personal choices about their lives and what they put into their own bodies. which is why i for one would like to see an end to prohibition. then people can make their choice in as safe a way as possible

drugs being illegal make them glamorous. It creates gangsters who can the afford expensive cars and clothes.

End prohibition - and WE can then control the drugs, rather than the criminals. End drug prohibition, and then WE get to take the glamour out of them.

Switzerland for example gives heroin to registered addicts for free - they have seen a reduction in crime and of people using as they get more users in to treatment.

When I say we - I mean the people and their governments. Criminals control drugs and it should be us.

I would like to say that I agree with you - but it is here that I must no, as I do not think it is realistic. There will always be somebody that will sy yes to drug usage. Prohibition has had decades to get this right. And it has led us to a war on drugs (with the US spending $1Trillion since the 1970s) and my country £14bn a year. We need a change.

The only reason faux news is happy to air this report is because it's more FEAR MONGERING. Because of goofy shit like this, it's nearly impossible for some of us to find ANY doctors willing to treat chronic pain, while rich and famous people can all too easily find a dozen doctors willing to RX them to death. Normal people, OTOH, can't even get basic relief. This country and its drug laws are ass backwards and fucked.

I think education is better than legislation on this issue. What if the DEA starts banning certain drugs because of a few bad decisions? Why not ask the FDA to stop regulating drugs all together and let patients, doctors, and scientists decide what's good for people. What are people going to do when the FDA starts banning oxycotin and they have to wait until something better comes out in the market?

My kids grandpa died the day after he got a script for oxicontin takin it exactly as prescribed and yet medical cannabis is deemed a slippery slope.

To what, freedom from outrageously priced and lethal prescriptions? Is pharma afraid people might start growin poppies too? Harvesting aspen bark? Possibly even growin their own food?

Of course I have compassion, and I do feel bad for people. It's just I think everyone deserves a chance and if they fail...they fail, no questions about it. So if they overdose, accident or not. They should have been more careful, unless it was a wrong type of medicine or something...

I don't think it's the training you should be questioning, but the possibly perks they may be receiving from these prescription drug companies.

If anywhere there should be unbiased opinions, it should be when people's lives are at risk. These bastards are selling out.
