Im a fairly intelligent guy...I dont know how anyone could possibly be skilled and coordinated enough to manage making these complex designs with a board?? Dont you need to oversee the whole project from an aerial view to coordinate making it? Furthermore, if its made by humans, where is the human error? Why have we never seen an incomplete one? Or one that is poorly done...these people cant be 100% perfect 100% of the time! They just woke up one day and knew how to make crop circles?
@jadmd1 I dont know how they do it either. but its true, the most of them are man made. google crop circles commercial, go at pictures and see what is possible. they can even make an elvis!
@moonberry2000 No one is arguing about the fact that crop circles can be created by humans. It has been demonstrated many times. There is a small percentage that appear to have been made by microwave or another form of electromagnetic energy.
Like they said, the one guy says they are all man made, and the other guy says 95% are man made. Aslong as you stay open, and don't ignore evidence, even if the evidence can be disproved.
Those in the 'not man-made' category are just the ones without the stamping board marks on the stalks. This is based on the highly questionable presumption that all man-made crop circles are made with stamping boards (with hard outer edges, moreover). Well, they're also said to be of 'a more organic design', whatever that may mean. The detection of high-level radiation at two formations is interesting, though. Many CCCS members thought crop circles were naturally formed by the Meaden Vortex.
@zezt I don't know off-hand, as I'm not a crop circle-maker. If I were, I suppose I would fashion something from soft wood with rounded edges. I'd have a good think about it and experiment with various shapes and materials. I'm not saying all crop circles are man-made - I simply don't know - only that the absence of marks on the stalks of some circles doesn't necessarily mean they are not artificial.
@raggedmoorlander OK, but your theory is still speculative UNTIL you can demonstrate you can do a 'good' CC with different type boards with rounded edges that leave no marks.
@zezt lol some of them do. Do you know any of them personally? I do. I'm not certain about rounded boards, but I'm pretty sure they also work, depends on the type and age of the crop as well, rapeseed almost always leaves marks or breaks the stems.
@zezt Oh yes, it's speculative. I don't KNOW that the 'good' crop formations are man-made. On the other hand I don't know that they're NOT man-made. I was at a meeting of the SCARBOROUGH UFO SOCIETY last night, and someone recounted how he saw strange globes of light descend into a field where later a crop circle was discovered. I'm impressed by first-hand accounts like that.
@raggedmoorlander Did you get a contact for who shared that? they should do a youtube video about it. I have heard before reports of people seeing these lights, and it is very important to be made known about.
@zezt I asked if he could sent me data. As I'd stressed in the meeting, video clips are not worth very much on their own.. You need to record time of sighting, date, location, apparent size of lights, movement of lights before and after footage, background info, how lights first appeared, how disappeared, complete eye-witness account to compliment footage, and lots, lots, more. He said he was going to bring this to next meeting. Whether he will or not is another matter.
@raggedmoorlander keep me informed if you will. Btw today i read about 'ghost CCs'--you ever heard of them before? According to this article these CCs reappear of CCs that have been before as though to emphasize them as being authentic
@Thewraithwoman I have followed this phenomenon with interest and this year it has come to light that a number of well known cropcircle researchers are well aware of the man made hoaxes but keep quiet in order to continue making money from movies, calendars, etc. Also that some of them actively encourage (in some cases pay) the hoaxers as there are often small numbers of 'real' unexplainable circles - making it difficult for them to make money with their tours, night watches, merchandise etc.
@Thewraithwoman this is a shit state of affairs as the 'real' phenomenon is being buried in a pile of disinformation and confusion. There is much more to this very strange area than the crop circle phenomena. Balls of light are frequently filmed acting in a seemingly intelligent fashion in broad daylight. The researchers who are aware of the hoaxing and choose to keep quiet for financial gain should be ashamed, this area needs to be studied....truthfully! C'mon people.....
@Thewraithwoman . I become disillusioned in 95 after five years of following the circles, i visited 100s, the extent of hoaxing was clear to see, i could except that, what put me off it was that some involved in the subject, i thought honest and seeking the truth about the subject didnt seem to care if they were man made or not as they had an investment in it. One i knew even made a formation and sold his merchandise with his handywork on it.
The best.

Even the "genuine ones" in this video video have characteristics of man made circles such as "stomp lines and construction lines"
Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=TeNTm7rn-_s
Man made crop circles do have an increase in magnetic fields to, this is still unkown why.

@zezt Wrap a board in a towel, it does not leave marks.

@GsBBoyDan if so how come these pro CC makers DONT do that?
